Him and Caputi have both gone in the crapper this year. I really liked him in junior and he had a pretty good rookie year but his stats suck this year.

What the league needs to do is fine them more than freaking 2500$. It should start witch 25k every game you're suspended, then jump to 50k if a player is a recidivist. Players, especially the dirty kind who makes less than the "superstars", will be more "respectful".

They need to do that and change the equipment with softer padding and better helmets plus make every player use a mouth piece, no exceptions.

I've always been of the mind that giving a hit should hurt almost as much as receiving a hit. That would help change the nature of some of the injuries we see out there.

Having said that, the game is just so much faster than before. It's natural that the impacts from both legal and illegal hits are more devastating.

Anyone else kinda intrigued to see Reimer in the All Star game? It'd be kinda amusing if he gets lit up.

I just remember Price going into a tailspin right after the ASG.

At least Price had awesome numbers going into the game. Reimer is already on a tailspin.

Is voting over or should I throw a few more his way for my own perverse amusement?

Since Leafs fans may bring up Price to try to save face for Reimer:

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=5584

Price's numbers were 16-4-5 record, 2.30 GAA, .921 SV% before the game.

I have to say my Nicolas Deschamps lovefest does look bad right now. I was sure and still believe the kid could turn it around. But he was just traded to Toronto so not sure it will now happen...

I was so shocked to see him get a deal like that, I always felt he was such an unreliable goalie. Terrible contract that is going to explode in their face.

In his defense the team left him out there to die on more than one occasion, especially in the post season. But yeah, even I was surprised how big a deal he got. Then again when you trade for an RFA/UFA they do have a lot more leverage.

Only reason he went into a tailspin that year was his injury... I remember Luongo having the same kind of injury shortly before (year before?) and sucking for a few months too.

Then again, that year the whole team sunked in the 2nd half, darkest day and stuff...

Wouldn't mind picking up a guy like that, especially if we are moving Moen. Cunneyworth doesn't play his 4th line as much as JM did so even if you have a guy playing 5 minutes it's not a big deal.

I'd like him, but he's damaged. Better to take a run at Parros in the off season.

Ya that was a real slap in the face to Bryz. Not starting him in that outdoor game. Especially since he was one of the so called stars of the 24/7 show.

With Orr getting put on waivers and Rosehill in the AHL, has anybody else noticed how dramatically Brian Burke has veered from his whole Truculence Model?

Toronto’s forwards now consist of: Lupul, Kessel, Connolly, Kadri, Kulemin, Grabovski, MacArthur, Armstrong, Boyce, Bozak, Lombardi, Steckel Brown, Frattin, and Crabb.

The only “truculence” I see there is Brown and (maybe) Armstrong.

Interesting shift, no?

He made a big mistake on how he started to rebuild that team.

His Ottawa teams had Vial Lambert and Murray.

in Anhaeim his teams had a ton of PIMS...McKenzie Grimson Marshall Cummins Sawyer Lambert

I'm sure part of the reason he never signed an enforcer last summer is because Martin wanted to play 4 lines and wouldn't dress him/them.
