MSG Rangers Survery

Wow, who just got that rangers/msg survery. That thing took me at least 20 mins.

For those who didnt get it it asked everything possible. Why i love the rangers, how I watch them, what represents them. Why I watch msg, what else do I watch, what do I do, what do I make. Also transformation stuff, regular msg provider stuff. Honestly, it was literally every question possible I think you can ask a rangers fan.

Anyone know why they did this? Could it be the msg/twc thing?

I got a similar one from the NHL about a month ago, it was flipping ridiculous. I literally was working on it for 20 minutes with NO end in sight. I finally was like, "screw this" and just closed it.

I took it as well. It was one of the most thorough surveys I've taken in awhile.

I think part of it is to throw into the whole TW situation but ontop of that, they are trying to figure out how to successfully market the team. Lots of questions in the survey involving your perception of the team, what it represents and your view of the sport as a whole. Seems like MSG is trying to find out the best way to use their marketing dollars and what to focus in on when marketing the team.

For those who haven't taken it, questions range how you would describe the team/sport to what devices you use to follow the team/sport to how you began to follow the sport. Had to be about 50 or so questions, often with multiple tier flow answers.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the results.

Yea I really hope I could see the results at some point but im sure I wont. Though it was long and I kept saying, jeez when will this end, Im glad I got to answer those questions. I just hope they count for something, since this team counts so much for me.

Nope, I got it and I'm not a season ticket holder. In fact, I can't remember the last time I bought tickets directly from the Rangers, I usually buy them off STH's.

EDIT: Although they ended up not needing me.

Because luckily your provider is one of the providers that MSG has already finished extorting.

It's an internal survey used for marketing purposes and anyone caught leaking the results would be fired (and probably sued in civil court). They just want to find better ways to get you (and other Ranger fans, myself included) to spend your money on their product.

I don't do their surveys anymore--however, if they want to invite me to another focus group, they are more than welcome to (the sandwiches aren't bad and the cash is better).

Demographics--they were looking for people of a certain age/income level/etc.
