Folks, if you haven't realized, the Devil's do not win if it helps the Rangers.

If they too need to win, they do it in OT or a shootout. Have been for years.

Why are people rooting for the Devils? We have an 8 point lead in early JANUARY. Let's try winning the division before worrying about finishing 2nd instead of 1st

Boston is a scary, scary team.

Damn, they are good, maybe even better than last year.

I agree. Let's get home-ice advantage in at least one round, then go from there.

Didn't think they were that great last year.

I'll just say this year I wouldn't be surprised if we see a bunch of 4 or 5 game Boston series instead of 7.

Everyone here is so obsessed with winning the President's Trophy. I'd rather win the division and have a little rest before the playoffs, something we've yet to have since the lockout. Plus, we're only 4 points ahead of Philly, 6 ahead of Pittsburgh and 8 ahead of NJ. In January, hardly insurmountable.

I just don't think the Debs are a good enough team to make a play for top of the division either way.

But I agree with the sentiment anyway- I wouldn't be rooting for Pitt or Philly over Boston.

What changed? Why are they so much better? I know Seguin improved leaps and bounds. Who else? Did they add anyone to the team? They remind me of the Packers. Won the cup and are better this year.

The Devils are just awful. I'd love for them to miss the playoffs but a part of me hopes they make it and we play them in the first round. It would be like getting a bye in the first round for us.

If we worry about winning the division it's not the Devils that we should worry about. Outside of us there are 2 better teams in this division than the Devils. Especially if/when the Pens get healthy.

New Jersey is not ready for a team like Boston. I just hope WE are ready to face them.

I don't want to sound like a quitter, but I think we should forget the #1 seed, the Bruins are a machine and I just don't think any other team in the NHL would be able to keep up with them in a points race. We should as was said worry about the Atlantic, that will most likely we the #2 seed. Still very respectable.

If the Rangers want to compete with the Bruins in a 7 game series (which should be their goal), they need to add some pieces who can help dish some of their physicality and speed back to them. Wolski is not going to be that player. Mitchell is not either.

Well, Lars Eller just scored 4 goals against the Jets.

Try to get a genuine answer out of the Devils board. About a 40% success rate.

By all accounts, the Bruins were on fire tonight, better than their usual by far. They're an amazing team, but no need to be afraid.

That's only because Bergeron was hooked on the breakaway, wasn't it?
