Finally, would rather see him play top line minutes in the AHL than in the pressbox.

This is good news for Leblanc, he'll come back stronger.

He did great considering he had what, 20ish pro games under the belt when he was called up? Very gritty, never gives up on a play, very annoying to play against... Add a little strength and you get a very good player.

He's definitely a player. My expectations were low, and I still don't think he'll be an elite player, but he'll be a blast to watch for years to come.

Hamilton can get ready for the encore production and Syracuse gets to benefit first on Friday.

The kid has been pretty good considering he is obviously not physically ready.. Normal process, the kid will probably produce at 1 pt per game rate in the AHL, get used in every situations, will probably train very hard in the off season to add muscle and get more explosive.. Should be a lock to make the team next year.. Go Louis Go

Not a chance.

The Bulldogs are terrible. Fred St-Denis is their points leaders with 16.

I still don't understand why he was scratched the past few games, but good to see him get some playing time again.

Somewhere Clement Jodoin and Alexander Avtsin are smiling. Avtsin has only 2 pts in his last 14 games so hopefully this will help and the Dogs sorely could use some more offense so getting Leblanc back is huge for them.

I heard White might be joining Hamilton soon as well on a conditioning stint.

Now that look sexy! Man I miss Markov and White!
I would separate Pacioretty from Cole, he's been crap since his suspension and needs to start playing better, plus I don't like Gio and Cammy on the same line.

Cole Plekanec Cammy Gio DD Pacioretty

As much as sitting those last few games must have stung, I'm sure he appreciated the extra NHL salary

Indeed good news for Leblanc.

Hopefully Cammy is moved to make room for him next year!

1. This is good because it means our captain must be ready
2. This is good because I'm going to the Dogs' game on Friday

While I have high hopes for Leblanc in the future, I must agree that he exceeded my expectations, too, in his first call up.

I really thought he'd need more time to bulk up to be of any use at the NHL level. He really impressed me as well.

I wouldn't exactly say that he doesn't have to bulk up a bit... I think that's an accepted reality. What "stood out" to me was his ability to follow the play, figure out the timings/systems (as much as you can in such a short time as such a young player), not get totally lost/abused defensively, and get implicated in scoring plays. Most of that has little to do with size, but is still very important when it comes to making the next step - and he's obviously pretty much ready to do that.

Being able to keep all that together long term, though, is highly dependent on a bit more physical maturity - but that will come.

THIS

Louis will be a good 2nd line player (my hope) for the canadiens in like 2-3 years from now. He should be ready for 3rd line minutes maybe next september or after christmas. Leblanc has the hockey IQ of elite NHL players but needs some seasoning in the ahl but i'm now sure he will be a GOOD NHLer as I was not so high on him few months ago. Good to see a french prospect developing at a good pace but not 100% rushed!

Not surprising would have been sooner if not for all the injuries. Liked what I saw of him, he should have a great career.

This kid got the biggest ovation ever...

But anyways, I'm glad he's going back to develop!

Will start the season in a habs uniform next year...book it!

I wouldn't have said so 6 months ago, but I wouldn't be shocked if he was on the team next year from day 1. Would have to be top 9 though, means Cammy Eller Gio Pleks Pax Cole DD AK Moen one of those 9 is gone plus Gomez(obviously).

He'll get a ton of ice time in Hamilton, PP, PK and 1st line.
