I'd rather just donate my money directly to the garden of dreams then take my chance with that.

Ha. Torts knew what he was doing and what the ramifications were when he made those comments. Garden of Dreams is far more worthy of our money than he is.

I think the idea was to donate it to the garden of dreams in his name.

The HockeyRodent already has a Paypal account set up for this purpose.
You can only donate $2.00. Each donation counts as a vote to back up Torts and a vote against the powers that be.
Show Bettman, Campell, the Governors, Owners and the Officials that the fans won't stand for the bs and their hypocrisy.
Show Torts and the Players that the fans have their backs.
www.hockeyrodent.com .
The time to speak out is upon us. If the fans cower because they are afraid of "officiating retribution", the NHL may as well be the WWE.

Actually he changed it so that you can donate whatever amount you want through that paypal account.
I would note (Rodent has it on his page) that similar to the Lindy Ruff incident a few years back, the money raised will more than likely go to a charity (Garden of Dreams).

The money that goes into all NHL fines, IIRC, does wind up being put to good uses, not just kept in Bettmans pockets.
No matter what, its worth a shot

Personally I just prefer to do it collectively cause seeing a decent amount come across in one donation would show the team/organization that the fans support them while being a slap to the face to the league.

Since this is a donation thread, thought this may be of some relevance.
Plus the fact the now my orginal thread got hijacked and is now a debate on how dirty philly is....... but
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know that I couldn't be the only one who was disgusted when hearing about what happened down in Philly to Neal Auricchio Jr, at Geno's after the Winter Classic.
While looking up his name via Google: this link posted for a Baby Registry:
http://www.amazingregistry.com/baby-...s=showRegistry
Anyone have any idea on a way to confirm if this is him, cause If so I would love purchase something off the list and send it to him, as both a thank you from your country and get better soon on behalf of ranger fans.
I'm sure i'm not the only one who would be interested in doing something like this.
* Seems for the most part if you would like to show your support, that the Registry is indeed his, and gifts can be sent with confidence. Lets see if we can wipe out all the gifts still on the list, and support our fellow Ranger Fan!

I gave my $2.10. I didn't see the option to add a few more dollars, will do if he adds it. I was just going to give $10 to the Garden of Dreams but they don't take paypal.

Are you implying that it's foolish to donate to charity?
