I would still collect cards, but the prices are so jacked up now and you don't get any cards.

Used to get 12-15 cards for $1 or so. Now you for $2-3 you're only getting 5-7 cards. There are also too many "special" cards. I always liked collecting the regular cards and try to complete each team, then they started with all of the foils and pieces of jersey/stick etc.

I think the biggest killer of the card industry though is the internet. You used to collect cards mostly for reference material. Now just go to NHL.com (or other sports site) and you've got all of the stats you could ever need on every player.

Just unbelievable. this guy is supposed to be a star blue liner here and he is handing out money to reports for more publicity? talk about an ego. Clearly he wont settle for a small market. Might as well trade him now. I dont even want him here if he is that irresponsible and egoistical. Come on kid!

Did you really take that video seriously. Wow, get a grip on yourself dude. Ellis has earned all the pub he has gotten so far. Go take a look at what his resume has on it at his young age. Now lets see what he does in the NHL. I hope he does well.

Uhhhh....look at the smiley at the bottom of that post, and you'll have your answer

(and in case you're still wondering, no he didn't take it seriously)
