NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

Just to be back in a normal rink, it felt like my first game back. To be in normal surroundings again. I had a bit of rust.
I wasn’t really nervous before the game, I had gotten my first one out of the way.
- Marc Staal

Step made the play. I just wired it.
- Marian Gaborik

I still don't know what our team is. We're just taking it day by day.
- John Tortorella

Wonder if Wolski gets in this one? Doubt it but never know.

Man, the Rangers are always at the top in October. They'll start slipping in November then Lundqvist will have his annual December meltdown.

that sounds about right, after all, this is a bad team....

Hopefully that 2nd line can play the same type of game they did today.

This is a tough game we have here.

Injuries or no, that is a solid hockey club. IMO better than Florida.

Note to TWC customers: don't get your hopes up, the game will be blacked out for you on NHL Network.

He's certainly not hurting us or anything like that. Plays a tough game and fills Sauers skates for some of his minutes but I would say as soon as we are healthy he's odd man out.

Gotta keep rolling here another good test for this team.

Bylsma is a wizard behind the bench and I'm always wary of games against him.

Undefeated at the Consol last year, let's keep it going. Every game is bigger than the one before it. 2 pts against the Pens on the road would be HUGE.

Have a feeling we're in for a letdown. Late travel on back-to-back nights and playing a well-coached team.

LGR! ****ing ******** that the terrible Knicks still get the regular MSG over us. Maybe it's because all the dumbass basketball fans (lol not including some of you guys) are too stupid to be able to find MSG2.

Not to mention that this will also be blacked out to GCL subscribers.

Damn you NHL Network for picking this game!

I hope I can get a feed with our guys. If it's those Pittsburgh guys, even though I bleed blue, I'm not going through that.

Paul Steigerwald is without a doubt the BIGGEST homer on a mic. I'd give him a headbutt to his eye quicker than Jack Edwards or Chico; the latter just has this disgusting crush on Brodeur, really.

Wow, didn't realize how banged up the Pens were. No Letang or Martin? I wasn't optimistic seeing as how we played last night and the Pens rested, but at least now we have a chance of taking this one.

Big game, especially on a back to back. Win here would be a bonus really, I am not penciling it in as should win.

Plus winning games like this proves they're pretty serious about that whole first in the league thing.
