More info:

Timonen was seen wearing a soft brace on his left wrist.

From Wayne Fish:
Quote:
Timonen has upper body injury. He's wearing a soft cast on his hand. Was seen laughing with Ray Emery in hallway after game.

Not good. Kimmo usually plays through everything except blood clots so it has to be bad.

I'm worried he might be out for some time... I am also worried Homer might over pay for a d-man that isn't worth what we give up

he'll overpay for a defenseman right now because he needs to, making it impossible to acquire a guy like weber or suter at the deadline.

im hoping that it isnt serious. if it is, the price for a top 4 defenseman just went up. a lot.

Hopefully only a bruised wrist. In the worst case, broken wrist and out for six weeks.

the good thing is that kimmo tried to play the 2nd, if it was broken or worse he wouldn't have left the locker room. he's a warrior and knows how important his role is right now. he'll be back way sooner than he's supposed to be and play through it. as long as his wrist is still attatched to his body he'll play

Kimmo update: upper body (left hand/wrist) and day to day. Assume he misses tomorrow at least
Sounds that he should be alright, but you never know with these Flyers...

Wouldn't be surprised if this was our next update:

Homer - "We spoke to the team doctors today, originally we thought this wasn't anything serious, and turns out Kimmo actually died during the Winter Classic and it came off as a wrist injury. We're still waiting on further tests, he's currently out indefinitely."

Not sure why homer would be completely forthcoming about the severity of injuries.
Why play your hand if you don't have to?

Hence why it's not worth questioning him in the first place. Thanks for supporting my argument unwittingly...
