Let's put JJ and DD on Kopitar's wings, let Martinez and Drewiske take their spots, and sit two of Hunter, Richardson, Lewis, Williams, Penner, or Clifford.

That would be an interesting one game experiment.

Wow. The reverse angle shows the net was up when it crossed the line. Must not have had that angle in Toronto.

i'm probably going to get ripped, but the second and third period, they were offensively good. they are just inches away from closing the deal. to me, it feels like more of a confidence thing then a play thing. and for anyone who knows what it's like to lose confidence, it just takes time.

I know everyone's burned out on the patience thing, but i really don't see any real underlying issues in our play.

for the record, how sick is our defense when Martinez is a healthy scratch. he played a helluva game today.

Great 3rd period and great rush to the goal for the game winner. Quick saves our ass again.

The review took so long because Mike Murphy was up in his room trying to figure out any possible excuse to overturn that.

Awesome win! Quick has been amazing! 1 bad turnover robbed quick of another shutout against Colorado. A terrible call cost quick a win also. I'm glad he was able to get them here.

Anyone else think it was awesome that the two people inside the crease were Doughty and Johnson. Defenseman crashing the net and we win the game.

Eh, I'll take it.

Quick was solid, as usual.

Smith was stopping everything. We made him look good many times, but he made some great saves.

When you got Quick, you don't. Just have all 5 guys rush the crease

The Kings are now 20-14-7. Considering they can't hit the ocean with a puck from the deck of a boat they are not in bad shape at all.

He's going to tear that ref's head off for calling it a good goal on the ice.

Drew with the winner. Guess only defensemen can score in OT.

It's a 1-0 league when the Kings are involved.
And he'd still finish 5th for the Vezna

Nope if the Kings had ANY and I mean ANY forward that could finish worth a Sh%^ they wouldn't have to be there.

I agree with Sutter on his opinion on this. They should call a good goal 100% on the ice and let the off ice guys determine if it's bad or not. It just puts the refs in a bad spot with as fast as the sport is.

The ref can call it a goal regardless depending on how it is knocked off and if he it in place enough for a goal. The net was lifted, but it's spokes were still in place even though it was elevated. Ref noticed that the net stayed in place and made the call. It was a surprisingly good call.

I know that, but they still could have called it back. It's a discretionary call. Kings haven't had much luck with those calls. Glad they finally got one.

2.07 goals per game.

Wonder if the worst offensive team in the NHL has ever made the playoffs?

I hope that Sutter lives up to his reputation of being the drillmaster. Kopitar needs shooting drills. It's that easy. Two hours every day, shooting only. And leave two coaches with him to monitor improvement.

Painful to watch the offense tonight, but Quick is a star and I'm just happy we got the win.

I think every player needs to practice with those targets in the corner of the nets. Just like the skills competition.
