I hope it's more of a 7-10 days out kinda thing with him wearing a cage, instead of a 4-6 weeks. I think all the blood was probably just form losing a tooth. Also he took it off the jaw. Hoping because of that he isn't concussed. I'm not doctor but get well soon Dion!
BTW, it was already reported he didn't lose any teeth.
On my way to the computer I stopped real fast to post this. My forward momentum was great!! The sudden stop gave me a concussion because we all know its just an impact to the head that causes a concussion but sudden stops can to because the brain keeps moving. NOT EVERY TOUCH TO THE FACE OR HEAD IS A CONCUSSION....thats the only thing wrong with "concussions" to much garbage talk and having to fill about 900hrs a day of sport talk with talking heads needing hot topics.... There is no such thing as a concussion there is a genetic disorder in the brain that causes these symptoms, parkinsons and alzheimers etc. depression. Psychosomatics is concussions and being told your sick or you wont be right maybe ever again doesn't help either. If Phaneuf has a "concussion" from this he should be stripped of his captaincy for being a faker!!!!!
Ive never seen a puck to the face cause a concussion, hopefully its just a cut and bruise and he'll be good to go next game. Hes played a good couple of games recently, he's firing on all cylinders offensively and is starting to clean up the mistakes in his own zone by playing physical and nasty. Hopefully hes ok

Firstly your brother should have his mouth duct taped LOL...second its funny just the other day people were saying Dion is garbage and not a top 15 dman in the NHL and now everyones all for him.....this board makes me laugh sometime.
I have to say it ticks me off whenever I see a high slapshot hit a player in the head without a deflection or the player going to the ice to block a shot. I know it's probably an accident but these professionals should be skilled enough to never take a slapshot like that.
