Why did an arthroscopic surgery keep him off skates for a month? Normally it's a minor procedure where the patient can walk out of the hospital and get back to activity within a week to 10 days(rehab). The first prognosis was 2-4 weeks which sounds about right but for some reason he had to go see Dr.Andrews this past week before starting strenuous activity.
Why are people acting entitled to know anything about Markov or his injury? They're giving us time frames, they aren't going to go into great detail about his injury or recovery because it's none of our business or the business of any other player/team in the NHL.

We're fans, we aren't entitled to know anything about Markov's recovery aside from when he's likely to come back.

If anything, whining about the information they're giving out on this situation makes us look like a mickey mouse fanbase, it doesn't make our team look like a mickey mouse org...

Is the All Star Game that cute little event with all the Senator players in the lineup? Can't wait!

It's not an entitlement thing. everybody in the hockey world knoiws Markov had his knee operated on so secrecy holds no advantages, why not just keep people up to date on his progress, setbacks and where he is at this point? What is the harm in that?

I don't expect PG to pull a Brian Burke and have a self fulfilling press conference to say he is trying to add a center.

According to JF Chaumont from Le journal de Montréal, Emelin received a puck in the face and got hurt.

Emelin took a wrist shot on left cheek. It's very swollen. He was helped off ice. Ice bloody. May require full shield, if he plays vs TB.

Hopefully Price gets picked last like Kessel last year. Apparently it means following the next year with an amazing season (FWIW I think Price is amazing this year too). Who else do we have possibly going? I guess we never rallied for a vote Gomez to the ASG. I hope pleks gets to go. He has deserved it the past two seasons, but overshadowed. I bet the Kessel story will taken up hald the broadcast.

Goalies can't be picked last. Unless you meant last as in the last goalie picked

And ugh, sucks for Emelin, hopefully he's okay.

If I had to choose one Hab to go, it'd be Cole.

I kinda don't want any Habs making it to be honest.

Emelin just got hit with a puck in the face by Weber at practice. That's one way to get back in the lineup...

Quote:
#Habs Emelin just took a puck in the face

Trainers out to see #Habs Emelin; practice stops; still down on one knee

#Habs Emelin needs two trainers to help him off the ice, his bell was significantly rung

#Habs Emelin's left jaw looked like it was his right jaw as he left the ice

We know this much about #Habs Emelin: it's very upper body. Should get an update after practice

It was #Habs Weber who dinged Emelin with the shot in practice

#Habs Weber apologized to Emelin. "I think it looks worse than it is, the cheek swells pretty quickly," Weber just told me

Emelin's going to have to play with a space helmet if his face takes any more damage at this point...

Poor Weber can't do anything right this year.

Emelin at the all-star game would be hilarious. Have him wreck all the Sens.
