This thread is totally unwarranted, and pointless, in my opinion.

NOBODY hates on Biron starting.

uhhh you do know Healy actually created a goalie controversy in the regular season/playoffs in '95 right?

Richter was injured a bit that year, but his play was not good and Healy stepped up and Campbell had a tough time deciding between the two at times.

I only had a problem with him starting in the Caps game where he played like GARBAGE. On a back-to-back I don't mind.

Yes, one season where he filled a void and was pretty good, until we met the Flyers.

Again, never felt comfortable with him in goal and there's a reason he finished with a losing record with the Rangers.

Josh Harding of the Wild is pretty good too, again though he will play more games than Biron will. Another example of a not true starter and backup dynamic.

Biron is the man, and we're lucky to have him.

yea I vote delete the thread. Those who may have complained are ridiculous.........the team plays back to back nights and they are not going to over work Hank. Sure Lundqvist may start some back to back games but with the team doing so well get Biron in their anytime it makes sense

the guy is like 8-2 or something

I don't think "hate" is the right word, that said, doubt does creep into mind sometimes when he plays. But for your backup to go 8-2 is still pretty damn good.

With Lundqvist in net, any team is beatable. With Biron, maybe not quite as much.

As a long time Rangers fan I think Biron is our best legitimate backup since fellow Quebec native Gilles Villemure. Healy was not even in their class.

Biron has played well this year. But last night Hank would have stopped both those shots...

Biron is the best back up since Beezerrichter backed up Richterbeezer

Not true

The snipe by Santorelli is being underrated here.

I'd seen Hank get beat by similar shots more than once.

OK but Hank would have stopped one of them and no OT, but he can't play every game and Biron has played extremely well...

i like biron a lot. i would actually suggest letting him play three in a row every so often, to give henrik a longer break and allow biron to get properly warmed-up...try that once a month. it's tough for a guy to come in for one game every two weeks. and henrik might really like that too.

I don't think he would. You let Lundqvist sit three in a row and you risk him going "cold". It's as much about feel as anything at their level. Lundqvist's glove and rebound control have improved remarkably. You can only do that with alot of playing time. Being rested a game or two here or there is more than enough for him.

Hes been pretty bad the last two games so im started to get a tad worried. Also top glove side seems to be getting exposed pretty bad recently.

I think Lundqvist should have gotten yesterdays game as well as tonights. Lundqvist would have had the easy shutout yesterday and he usually plays well vs the Panthers.

With that being said i still love Biron and don't hate him the slightest.

No way. You don't sit your best player on the team for 3 game stretches.
