It's not an entitlement thing. everybody in the hockey world knoiws Markov had his knee operated on so secrecy holds no advantages, why not just keep people up to date on his progress, setbacks and where he is at this point? What is the harm in that?
I don't expect PG to pull a Brian Burke and have a self fulfilling press conference to say he is trying to add a center.
Not to mention I do believe the teams are supposed to release more info these days regarding injuries if I am nort mistaken. Also it is a benefit for if we are going to try and move him and his wonky knee for other teams that may be interested not that I can see many wanting a one knee d man.
Emelin's going to have to play with a space helmet if his face takes any more damage at this point...
Honestly, he would probably be better off with a permanent full-cage helmet. It would prevent people from jumping him to fight him which is definitely a likely scenario considering how many people he's flattened out already.
It would suck for him to get jumped, break his face again and have to retire from hockey.
Why are people acting entitled to know anything about Markov or his injury? They're giving us time frames, they aren't going to go into great detail about his injury or recovery because it's none of our business or the business of any other player/team in the NHL.
We're fans, we aren't entitled to know anything about Markov's recovery aside from when he's likely to come back.
You're pretty gullible if you believe this to be true. There's nothing wrong with the fans wanting to know roughly what's going on with their best player. Fans have every right to know what ownership knows with regards to Markov.
There is nothing to gain by hiding it. Fans looking to buy tickets ect have a right to know if the Habs best player has a shot at being there, but Gauthier has a history of this kind of bizarre history.
Even Spacek was a bit perplexed when Gauthier told him he was traded, but wouldn't tell him where, because the League hadn't approved it. Seems like an arsehole to be honest. If the rumours of how he handled the JM firing are true, it says even more about his lack of interpersonal skills and complete disregard for others emotions.
