I'm looking to buy a Jagr jersey, any sites you guys could recommend? I'm not sure if I can purchase an authentic one being on a student budget.

fan festival

Was at the Plaza at CBP during WC weekend. Top-notch amenities! Had the pleasure of trying on one of the Flyer's (# 27?) Winter Classic game jersey!!!! There was a tent which replicated the "locker room experience, sponsored by Reebok." The jersey was HUGE!!!! Kudos, NHL and Reebok!!!

The only one sold so far was his 2nd period jersey, so yes, I'm guessing that's his 1st goal jersey.

Beautiful jersey dude! I can't believe you splurged on it, but I have a feeling it will actually rise in value.

Quick question, felt nameplate right? Felt everything I suppose?

Felt everything. Size 54. Sands mentioned that it was taken off Meigray's and once I saw it was back up couldn't resist.

I was planning on getting that one if you hadn't!

Excellent purchase IMO. As Schenn becomes a star in this league (hopefully), his 1st goal jersey will be highly sought after. And when you add the fact that it came in a game as big as the WC in a one-off uniform that looks amazing...

The value will skyrocket.

As someone who also sought the jersey, I personally believe its value will never be higher than it is now. That being said, if HC were to sell it immediately, he could probably make a couple thousand dollars. Meigray priced that jersey rather obnoxiously to start with, which is the reason it was still available and took a first NHL goal to sell.

If you look at the 1997 Masters one-off emroidered flag, it sells in the $4700 range. But in 1997, the hype surrounding Tiger Woods' first major had it selling for $7-9,000, unsigned! Granted there is more than one available, since Tiger didn't win the Masters in the flag, but Schenn is no Tiger!

Great jersey. I wanted it -- and consequently will be turning my authentic WC jersey into a Schenn.

Nice work. You realize you are officially a top collector now? Addictive isnt it? I fear it might be similar to heroin.

Planning on keeping it or trying to arrange a trade with Schenn? Personally, that is what i would do as it would create some pretty cool memories, assuming he even wants it. And, who knows, you might even become friends with him.

Personally, I'd probably go the trade with Schenn, with the hope that we'd become friends as well as I'd get an autograph from him.

I would definately keep the jersey. I doubt he cares or he would've bought it himself. It's not like he couldnt have just paid meigray, plus i dont think players really care about the jerseys like we do. I think he's fine to just have the puck. Trying to contact him for a trade could make you look opportunistic and stupid. Besides, it goes real nice with that Giroux you got there. In a couple a years i think i'd pay money to come to your museum.

I'll probably hold onto it but it's an interesting idea.

Completely disagree with you on your take of the situation.

I know from multiple personal experiences that some players do value their jerseys, especially milestone ones.

I also think there is no chance that he would be perceived as being opportunistic let alone "stupid". Whether Schenn wants it or not remains to be seen, but, even if he didn't, I am quite certain that he would appreciate the offer.

As for going with other jerseys in is collection, assuming Schenn wanted to trade that jersey with the 3rd period one, it would look just as nice in his impressive collection with the Giroux and it would have an even more memorable story to go along with it.

Being friends with 2 players I admit I have a different opinion about jerseys than most other collectors do. I have even passed up on a grail because I knew the player always wanted it.
