they were saying once they do the "anisimov" and shoot hank, the rangers will go after them and fight, so they were each saying who will you take, as in who each flyer will square off with in the inevitable scrum that would occur if they "anisimov'd" hank

Too bad they never "scored" on Hank.

They were really putting the cart before the horse on that one.

Really enjoyed the series, but was disappointed with the quality of sledging overall. Sure i didn't expect Oscar Wilde, but a little bit of wit wouldn't go astray.

Best sledge: B Richards' "fantasy camp" call
Worst sledge: Which ever Flyers genius dropped the "****** you Lundqvist you ********r
Dumbest sledge: Hartnell (?) "screw you Del Zotto, I don't even know your name"

Rupp to Shelley (in the 4-2 win over the Flyers at MSG):

"You're *****ing irrelevant out here. If you had any outcome on the game, I'd fight you, but you don't. You don't!"

This series was amazing, I especially loved the last episode. It really made me hate the Flyers though, they just came across as complete *******s. Scott Hartnell is the biggest piece of trash in the NHL and I hope Mike Rupp knocks his ****ing head in the next time they play.

The fans have nurtured that and are actually proud that their team identity is that of Goons On Ice. The Flyer and South Philly identity are virtually indistinguishable and thus perpetuates. Think about it...did you ever, have you ever, seen a Flyer team that doesn't fit this description?

Of course, I could be way off base here.
It also showed a lack of leadership on the team. You think Messier and Graves would be standing around talking about goal celebrations? That was their best line, their top players, and they completely lost focus and were caught in the moment. Should never happen.

I think that's where the disconnect is....lack of leadership.

Love our guys. Great series.
I fail to see how anyone could gain respect for Giroux after that series. Unless of course you were unaware of how good he until it was shoved in our face repeatedly. The only thing I got out of it was that he's a cocky player who talks a ton of **** and came across as unfriendly.

I love how they tried to make the skate-arounds at practice with Giroux and Laviolette to be like Tom Brady and Bill Belichik. Those segments were lifeless and boring.

The Rangers were much more classy and interesting, and the actually won all the game. I thought most of the Flyers interactions were boring filler.

Excellent Post and no, I don't think your off. I think you right on the money. The bigger puzzle is why the Flyers have such a "saintly status" as Carp rightly puts it. I've said this before but the Bullies/Flyers are the standard bearers of a very awkward tradition.

Just my opinion of course.

Took me an hour. Weird gift. Would've been cool to get a free DVD of the Classic though.
