I suggest that we had all better get used to it. I probably should have posted in this thread (as opposed to the other Eberle thread) but this isn't just bad luck...I think it is a symptom of a losing culture.

Bad luck doesn't follow patterns and this team is constantly getting hurt. Its not a coincidence.

RNH magically falling into the boards and Eberle getting his knee twisted up with Benn is bad luck, nothing more nothing less.

Im starting to seriously consider Kevin Lowe either made a deal with the devil or stole some ancient Incan artifact for the Oilers to make the cup finals in 06. It's the only possible explanation for how completely and thoroughly buggered this team is.

No it's bad luck.

Hall wasn't. RNH and Eberle both were...

I don't agree...fatigue plays a role as well IMO. The kids are being expected to do more because the veterans have failed so badly. Its just like the defence...push too much and eventually something will have to give.

The vets were getting more minutes than the kids on most nights so i don't buy the fatigue argument. RNH was hitting a rookie wall but i don't think that him falling into the boards had to do with fatigue, he just caught an unfortunate break, same with Eberle.

So there goes one of the Oilers possible achievements of having a player hit 80 pts.

Eberle was 3rd in TOI per game among forwards, with a big chunk of it being easier time on the PP. i don't think fatigue was playing that much of a role. even RNH played a ton of time in the WHL last year. these guys are used to playing big minutes.

it's just bad luck, bottom line. injuries are a part of the game.

This team has shown it will consistently find a way to fail. Everything appears to be just bad luck and meanwhile solid organizations seem to have good luck all the time.

Teams make their own luck and when you walk around with a black cloud over you 'bad luck' will follow.
