Fair enough, though I disagree. Alberts' issue has always been consistency, he's had strings of very solid games in the past before quite literally looking awful. Rome has had significantly better consistency, which is why he has been further up the defensive depth chart for the last 1.5 years. Rome successful covered what were nearly top four minutes last year (17 - 20 minutes / game) on the best defensive team in the league. Nobody remembers the AV Rome-crush anymore?

Could this change? Obviously, there is opportunity for Alberts if he continues to elevate his game, but he hasn't historically been able to maintain this level of play over extended periods.

#canucks David Booth and Aaron Rome taking part in full Canucks skate.

I hope we can make it out of Boston healthy. Would be nice to see our Top 20 together for once.

Yay, Booth!

As mentioned above, Rome can take his time as Alberts is having one of his 'good streaks' at the moment, but we really need the Am/Ex line back, and to reunite Raymond-Hodgson-Hansen because Kesler/Raymond are just killing each other right now.

Alberts has played very good in the last couple of weeks, so there's no rush to pull him. However it would be nice to get Salo some games off in the second half of the year, and we need everyone healthy to do that.

And, like other have said, Alberts is due for a bad game. When he's bad, he's really bad. Been great lately though. Usually if you don't notice him its a good thing, but he's gone a step further lately and made actual good, noticeable plays.

No kidding. The idea of seeing the actual full lineup all together at once makes me salivate. I'm crossing everything that I can cross that no one gets injured.

Out of Boston with only 2 injuries, I'd call that a win.

At least Rome is coming back in place of Salo?
At least Booth is in place for Ebbett?

Can't wait until Booth is back, I'm incredibly pumped.

@VanCanucks

AV: Ebbett, broken collar bone, will be operated on within 24 hours. Salo, upper body injury, will be re-evaluated tomorrow.

I'd assume so. I think the average recovery time is 4 months for that type of injury for a normal person. An athlete, likely less. But who knows how bad it is and to what extent its broken.

Guessing that he's probably done for the regular season. Josefson of the Devils broke his collarbone and needed surgery earlier this season. He was cleared for contact after about 10 weeks (hasn't played yet), and was initially estimated to be out for 3-4 months.

Ouuuuch. Collarbones are one of the most painful bone breaks save for thigh bone femurs.

Poor Ebbett. It's been a tough year for the AHL/NHL tweeners. Seems whenever they get a little roll going they get massive injuries. Toughest for those guys, since they're fighting so hard just to earn a roster spot to begin with. It puts their entire career in danger.

Even though I didn't think Ebbett should even be playing in today's game, for obvious reasons, I am sad to see he's hurt. This is when it's nice to have a big body as the 13th forward to put into games like his. He is simply to weak and small to play in a game like that in a bottom 6 role.

I really hope Salo is ok!

Wouldn't be surprised if we see Rome in the top 4 again. But I think Ballard may fill in the top 4 until Rome get's up to speed, then Rome plays top 4.

I really want to see Duco, but they won't bring him up!
