They can be. It depends on how the referee sees it. Obviously if it is the forward intentionally pushing a defenseman into the goaltender it is interference. If it is just some random contact, then it could be ruled the other way. I don't understand how this is foreign to you.
It's not foreign to me bud, lol.
But I think I understand the problem,
you think I am literally talking about a guy standing behind or beside the net and tilting it.
Be creative, he tripped over the net while getting in position, tipping it forward, mooring's still on, and his teammate bangs it home...
According to you, that's an illegal play, though there is NOTHING IN THE RULE BOOK PREVENTING THAT.
Well you also need to remember who his head coach at the time was. Hitch was big on defense, so that helped his cause, too. But once he got mono, he was never the same. It all went downhill. Of course then Hitch was gone the following season and it further spiraled downhill.
Very good point, Moo! Glad to see you on the Kings board. We won't BBQ you here...
For all the troubles he's faced in the last couple of years, he's still only 23. Lots of time to get it going for him.

Much like others have said previously, they need to send him down to Manchester for a 5-10 game stretch at least. He's a player with no confidence and he rarely shows any of the snarl that helped him have a strong finish to last year. Send him to Manchester where he should find some more success and build some confidence. If he doesn't or can't, he doesn't belong on the Kings right now anyway. He's done nothing to help this team in any way all year.
