Centers should be about offense first, he needs to get re-programmed to start taking chances and not worry so much about the defensive aspect of the game..

Sutter won't let them off easy after that period.

I'm full of fat anyway so why BBQ me?

He also hasn't had a steady goaltending coach. Really if it wasn't for Pazzy LeClaire getting hurt a lot, and Freddy Norrena just not cutting it, Mason wouldn't have come up.

I hope he turns it around, too, but it may be elsewhere and not with us. I think he needs a change of scenery at this point.

He needs to start driving the net like he did in his rookie season.

This. Think we'll see a different team in the 3rd.

...what? I'm an optimist.

Lombardi has such a hard on for defense first that he is unwilling to tweak anything that might take away from it, even if it means getting more offensive chances. He should be fired at the end of the season.

You won't. CBJ will be prepared to choke that lead away and lose like they always do.

Oh you meant the Kings...

They can't choke it away because it would mean the Kings score two goals in twenty minutes. That's physically impossible. Enjoy the win.

About your sig: I always thought Nash was a LWer. Also, why a 49er fan? No love for the Browns?

Wonder when Sutter is going to change the system.

Kings offense blows.

:sigh:

Oh well, Kings havent scored anyways, nothing new here

Have the Kings looked completely inept offensively again?

It not like the jackets have to swallow a big piece of steak here given the Kings
goal scoring efficiency, now if the Jackets can choke on something about the size
of a piece of rice, then I guess there is chance..

What ever happened to Kopitar's scoring touch? Watching him lob pucks into the chest of opposing goaltenders is depressing.

Yep trade Johnson for a LW, and be done with it.

So the Kings will have, at best, a 16 minute period to try and score a goal.

If the other team played with 4 players the entire game, would the Kings get much done offensively? They can't win a faceoff in the offensive zone at the start of a PP. When they dump the puck in, they don't chase it. They have an extra guy out there, and the Kings always seem to be either outnumbered or evened up in battles along the boards. If they get shot on net, when was the last time they got a 2nd chance?

Power plays are not freakin' rocket science.
