Jakub Voráček is getting criminally underrated in this thread. Apart from Kane and Gagner, he's scored the most NHL points out of all players in his draft class, and he plays a solid two-way game. His only flaw is that he's not much of a goal scorer.

This man knows what he is talking about! I'd maybe put Pacioretty and Simmonds a bit higher but still a good list

Gunnarsson deserves more credit here. Wouldn't trade him for Gagner...

top 5 would be Kane, Benn, JVR, Couture, Perron... followed by Voracek, Subban, Shattenkirk, McDonagh, Sutter for me. Pacioretty and Blum honorable mentions.

McDonagh would go top 10. Also, I really think Chere would've been something special. RIP.

Patrick White has 49 pts in 26 games this year. Really turning his game around, solid pick.

All of this is the high powered German Oberliga League......he's awesome.

My top 15:

1. Patrick Kane
2. Jamie Benn
3. Logan Couture
4. P.K. Subban
5. James van Riemsdyk
6. Max Pacioretty
7. David Perron
8. Jakub Voracek
9. Karl Alzner
10. Sam Gagner
11. Jonathan Blum
12. Wayne Simmonds
13. Ryan McDonagh
14. Kevin Shattenkirk
15. Keaton Ellerby

HM: Lars Eller, Kyle Turris, Eric Tangradi, Dana Tyrell.

Didn't see one, but if there is one, just link me up please.
So the same Blum who was just sent down to the AHL is ahead of the top pairing and top 15 in the NHL in ice time per game Ryan Mcdonagh?

I'm really surprised with the lack of Cherepanov in these lists.

The only reason he fell to 17th was because of the "Russian factor". If he was North American, he would have gone in the top 10 for sure.

Well, it's a re-draft, so the fact that he died (RIP) is probably the reason why he's not being drafted again.

Then what are you complaining about? None of the lists posted have ranked past 15. In that respect, nobody has disagreed with you in this thread.

Do you even know who Shattenkirk is? He scored 43 points as a rookie last year and is on pace for over 40 again this year. Considering what he's already accomplished, reaching 50 at some point in his career is a reasonable projection.

Are you insane? Have you watched him at all? He'll be a perennial 30 goal scorer, and he's already a PPG player right now. He just takes over games at times and no one can stop him.

This whole list is just bad, and some of the numbers are off.

Anybody else find this funny? He logs huge minutes for Montreal, faces the other teams top players, and had 38 points last year- as a rookie, to go along with 14 goals. Yeah, he's having a bit of a sophomore slump, but he's being played like a number one defenceman and is not being sheltered properly this year. Don't kid yourself, Subban will be a #1 or #2 defenceman. If Markov was back, he would be 3rd behind Markov and Gorges...for now. Even with his sophomore slump, he's still improved his +/- rating from -8 last year, to even so far this year. With the horrible year Montreal has had, that's still pretty impressive. The offense will come I have no doubts about that.

I love McDonagh and hated the trade, but his upside is not as high as Subban IMO. I don't know very many people that would have McDo number 3 on that list.

Montreal will GLADLY trade Yannick Weber for Wayne Simmonds or Brandon Sutter among others. Weber wouldn't be a top-30 picks.
