Emelin is 3rd in the league in hits as a defenseman, despite being 12 and 10 games behind the 1st and 2nd place guys respectively.

Monster.

That and he's starting to play great defensively! He's giving the coach reasons to keep him in the lineup.

Indeed. At the very least he was giving us a reason to watch. Now he's one of our most stable D out there.

I'm really starting to fear how much it might cost to lock him down.

and more ice time. Kaberle is much better when playing less minutes. becomes extremly effective. Heck, even diaz has been better than kaberle. hopefully Kaberle can settle down and become a decent 3-4 guy for us.

We NEED to sign him long term quick! He is an absolute necessity for this team to be successful in the future. We also need a Tinordi type d-man quick! Hope he pans out because our D needs at least 1 guy that can fight AND EMELIN

I love how he doesn't retaliate when he draws penalties, like the game vs. Winnipeg he gets punched in the face after making a huge defensive play and doesn't slash or punch the guy back.

He's not only looking more solid defensively he's starting to get more creative offensively.. so glad RC keeps increasing his icetime he gets better every game.

Him and Diaz were both very good signings, I never expected Diaz to play more than a couple games in the NHL this year but he's turned out to be a lot better than I had expected.

Malone's one of the biggest guys in the league. He's about 6-4, 230... There was probably a crack in the ice where he crash-landed.

He may be the player with one of the strongest balances in the league. He delivers those bone-crushing checks and it's hard to make him answer for those.

Starting to look like a Konstantinov type of player, if he gets it going on the offensive side.

A montage of his hits. Doesn't include his hit on Malone but most of the others are there.

The music with the action gets your blood going!

One of those hits in the video is actually Hamrlik hitting Lucic and another is Plekanec dodging Thornton. lol

You may not get to see it because I've noticed that Marchand (and other Bruins) tend to avoid him.

I hadn't seen the collision with Malone and I'm glad I was finally able to. It resembled a bull tossing a hapless matador. I wonder if Malone checked back to see if he had left any parts on the ice. I'm sure Campoli enjoyed seeing him airborne.

I think we're going to see Emelin **** #17's **** up, pretty bad. Lucic came torpedoing in after Emelin after a clean, hard hit on Krejci, and I'm sure he hasn't forgotten it.

It'll be during one of Lucic's "look at me, I'm wayne gretzky" moments, and it will come to a sudden, abrupt ending.

True, but he will find someone in the corner like he did with Kreji. After that hit Kreji was a total non factor, he sorta puts the fear of god into them. They aren't so cocky affter meeting Emelin lol.
