Montreal will GLADLY trade Yannick Weber for Wayne Simmonds or Brandon Sutter among others. Weber wouldn't be a top-30 picks.
For sure...Weber hasn't progressed like the Habs hoped so far this year. He should develop into a Power Play specialist in the NHL, but he needs to get stronger. Still a decent player and i'm sure Montreal doesn't regret having picked him in the 3rd round. In a re-draft, i could see him moving up a round and a team picking him in the second round.
I'm really surprised with the lack of Cherepanov in these lists.
The only reason he fell to 17th was because of the "Russian factor". If he was North American, he would have gone in the top 10 for sure.
This is a redraft, he had potential, but he will never play an NHL game as sad as it is to say. He would have been a wasted pick if everyone knew what would with Lokomotiv
1. Pat Kane
2. Logan Couture
3. Jamie Benn
4. PK Subban
5. Sam Gagner
6. Jakob Voracek

9. Max Pacioretty
10. Wayne Simmonds

15. TJ Galiardi

What? He died from a heart attack on the bench, not in the plane crash.

just my opinion.
You say actual accomplishments, then include PK Subban at #4 and don't have McDonagh, who is a better defenseman and just beat Subban on a poll. He's playing 25 minutes a night, is already a premiere shutdown defenseman and on pace to score 35 points, more then any other defenseman in the draft. Yet he doesn't even crack your top 15.

...subban had 38 last year, and is on pace for 35 also this year

Shattenkirk is on pace for 40 points. Also he had 43 last year in 62 games. So while hes playing well he doesnt score more then any other defenseman in the draft.

My bad, I forgot about him, but Shattenkirk also gets double the power play time.
Doesn't change the fact that McDonagh is the best defenseman from this draft, and would likely go top 5 in a redraft.
Since coming to Ottawa Kyle Turris has posted 7 points in 10 games with 4 of those points being on game winning goals.
This is without a preseason, and missing half the season without playing.
He could still yet round into that player he was supposed to be when drafted.
Keep in mind too that he could easily have more he has been extremely good in the offensive zone and has had great chemistry with Condra and Alfredsson. He isn't being carried either. On top of this he's been good defensively (+8 since becoming a Sen I believe.)
David Perron is the best offensive threat on his entire team, a team that is currently one of the best at the midway point of the season, and he doesn't even make some lists.
Even the ones who have him 7-20th are ridiculous.
I can't think of 5 players in this draft worth taking over David Perron.
To be completely honest I think Kane is the only one I would trade Perron for without hesitation. Possibly Couture (but see, I hesitated ).
As a Blues fan I agree Perron deserves higher placement than most are giving him but it's also understandable why folks who don't watch Blues games regularly forget about him. He was gone for so long and rejoined a team already playing well.
His points per minute of ice time easily lead the Blues in the limited # of games he's been back and he is gifted with the puck. More time back will cause his stock to rise. The Blues scored two major impact players on their current team from this draft – Perron and Shattenkirk. Cole wasn't too shabby, and maybe even Fairchild could peek into the re-rankings in a year or two, as he's someone to keep an eye on. Obviously Habs fans are happy with Eller.
I see Oilers fans pushing Gagner higher and I realize he's been more productive lately but I also remember earlier this season when fans were trying to give him away in trade threads. Glad to see he's turned it around and gotten hot. But no way would I take him over Perron.

If you'd trade Benn for Perron then, I'd gladly do a deal with you.
1. Patrick Kane

3. Logan Couture
4. P.K. Subban
5. JVR

I agree, Alzner is underrated due to his low offensive production. He is excellent defensively, though, I would say that he is second only to Ryan McDonough right now as far as defensive play goes for defensemen in this draft.

i agree with this ...
in terms of defensive play i would rate the top 3 as:
