I'm not a fan of Paajarvi being brought up but since he is, i certainly hope that he was brought up replace Eberle in the top 6 otherwise what's the point?
Also, i'm sure that it would suck for him when RNH and Eberle come back because he'll be right back to playing with the grinders in the bottom 6 which will once again, shatter any confidence that he might have been playing with in the top 6. I don't like this move one bit.

I do like O'Marra being called up, i said it when Green was called up that i thought O'Marra should have been here instead of Green.

I understand O'Marra, he deserves a call up. In my mind PRV should stay at OKC until he starts tearing it up. I wonder if they hope someone will take Brule off their hands at a discount. He does not seem to have turned the corner. Whatever happens to Brule, I hope that he turns it around somewhere.

What do you think the Oilers management are thinking of doing with Brule?

The bold is the question. He can't put up numbers playing with the Belanger's and Eager's of the world.

I'm wondering if they are hoping to plug him as the second line center, behind Gagner, while Nuge is down. Its been apparent that Horc and Belanger aren't helping put points up.

Well this likely confirms that Eberle is at least missing Wednesday's game. Likely more to risk a waiver claim.

Isn't he a free agent this year? Why would they want to dump him if that's the case. He may not be a solid NHL'er at this point, but he's certainly a good AHL'er, no?

We are without two of our better offensive players so MPS makes sense to be called up.

I would have liked him to remain down longer. Apart from the obvious fact that I still don't think he's found his rythm yet I also think that there's a big chance that he'll just try too hard.

I also fear the impact a "performance failure" at this stage would have on his confidence.

Anyway, looking at our injuries at the time I guess they thought it was worth a try. I hope he does well.

You may be right. But, I think that they had other options that were more deserving or did not risk a waiver.

Hopefully Arcobello and Keller return to the Barons lineup soon. They are thin everywhere. Yikes.

I wonder if a team like PIT will put in a claim for Brule. They are in a world of hurt when it comes to injuries and their center depth outside of Malkin is in rough shape.

I'll eat crow on this one, I said there's no way Paajarvi is brought up.

I guess that now that he'll be getting top 6 minutes and some PP time?

Wow this is brutal. What are these nut sacks doing?

Saw Eberle and a bunch of other Oilers at the bar on Saturday night. Guess they got back to town and wanted to drown the sorrows asap. Not that I expected Eberle to tell the truth to Joe Public he mentioned that the knee was fine just a little sore. So obviously take it for what it's worth.

Hopefully Renney puts Paajarvi in a position to succeed. The kid took his demotion to the AHL like a champ and said all the right things.

9 points in 10 games = 0.9ppg looks like BBO won the bet.

Don't you think that his development is of the utmost importance?
Do you think that him bouncing around from the bottom 6 to the top 6 to the bottom 6 to the pressbox to OKC back to the top 6 then back again to the bottom 6 or OKC when Eberle returns is good for his development?

What i would do is keeping him in OKC for the rest of the year so that he can regain his confidence (which he seems to have been doing down there) let him get a taste of being in a winning atmosphere and play some playoff games so that it toughens him up then start him fresh next year in the top 6 to most likely replace Hemsky full time IF he earns it in Training Camp.

I very much agree with the bolded. And now that Omarra is up, send Lander down to make both of their time in OKC more comfortable and let them dominate together.

I posted the idea that Brule could be recalled and I suspect he will get claimed. The only good thing is he is RFA after this year so we wont get the cap hit for next year
