Someone clearly wrote that for him, as I can't see Marchand being able to form a paragraph, let alone all of those.

But seriously, how can you say you were protecting yourself, and how can you say it's not dirty? Then to go around and blame it on on the Canucks (typical).

He's as big of a coward as anyone.

It's a good thing he didn't have to spell "champion".

C'mon, that's not fair. He did drop the gloves once with Andrew Cogliano.

I don't mean to take a particular slight at Marchand, but players like him in general, on the sense of writing a public blog about a controversial incident soon after it happened. While it's interesting to have a snap at what the participant thinks of it or what he wants other to believe (although I'm sure there must be PR involved) it just pisses me off when he tries to give his glorified view of it. There are a lot of players who do that, either through blogging or twitter or whatever and whether if I believe them to be right or not, it angers me all the same.

I wouldn't read a blog like that even if it was Salo writing from his perspective.

I mean come on, at least Rome felt bad about causing an injury and tried to reach out to Horton.

They are just in pure denial.

Then he hasn't learned and will likely repeat his mistakes. Hopefully someone won't get hurt even worse.

Man, I don't even know what to think of Marchand now... He just lost all respect from me when he said the last sentence:

Quote:
"It just shows the class he has or lack thereof," Marchand said of Vigneault. "It just shows the class he has or lack thereof. I really am not going to respond or bite into what he’s trying to feed me there. I hear Twitter was filled with comments about me today. For anyone that wants to call me someone who takes cheap shots, they can say what they want. It doesn’t affect me.

"I don’t care what people who don’t know me and I don’t know them and they have no meaning to me, I don’t care what they say. I don't really care what my reputation is. I just want to play. I’m doing this as my job. I love this team. I’m just trying to be a player and I don’t care what my reputation is really. I'm not out there to hurt guys."

Marchand continued to make it abundantly clear that he doesn't think he's a dirty player, saying he just plays the game hard.

"When I'm out there, I play a hard-nosed game and play hard," he told ESPN.com "If guys are soft and don't like it, then that's fine. I'm not out there to please anybody."
Normally when you hurt a guy, you feel remorse and bad, but he seems to feel like he did the right thing and seemed like he should be pissed...I mean wtf is that? Even Aaron Rome texted Horton because he felt bad he hurt him and that hit was 100% less dirty than the one he threw. He continues to insult... and even calls out Shanahan.

Quote:
Marchand told ESPN.com that he didn't deem the play a "clip," as it was called on the ice and was again described as such by Brendan Shanahan.

"Clipping is when you hit someone at the knees and I did not hit him at the knees," Marchand told ESPN.com "Anyone that has seen the video will see that I hit him in the upper thigh under the buttocks. They can call it a clipping, but they obviously don’t know the rules of hockey. I felt like I was trying to protect myself and get low and he went over me. It was very unfortunate that he was injured on the play."
I don't about you guys...I on the verge of completely losing all respect I have for the entire Bruins organization. It is not just him too his coaches, their comments, freaking disgusting...

They're dancing on a table and removing each others clothes to what looks to be a crowd of middle aged men.

Strange way of celebrating...but whatever floats their boat!

Other than the following paragraph:

That's how not to care and not respond

I agree. Apparently no one really cares about this game, and since we have another game that we can not care about while we discuss Marchand happening in Tampa, I'll lock this up and someone can start that GDT.
