With their crazy December schedule, 2-3 days off feels like forever between games.

It does feel like a long time, but we get three games this week, so that's a thing

Rangers 3-1.

Hanks quote got me so friggin amped up. I drool at the thought of having a team that competes for the top year in and year out I have NEVER been alive to see a team like that and sat by envious of NE, the Colts, Lakers, Bos, Det, NJ for a time. I am soooo ready for a NY team to do that in my lifetime I have been very patient.

Yay Rangers hockey!

Super-stressed with my crazy workload but feel like I need this even if it means staying up till 2:30. So don't let me down Rangers, and Gabby get back on scoring!

Our next stretch of games isn't scary, but it is scary if you know what I mean. They should be wins, but the Rangers are the kind of team to lose to Montreal Toronto and Ottawa then come out and destroy Boston. Well, not so much this year but prior to this season, yes.

2 points!

Biron needs to start the third (Toronto) and fifth (Nashville) in the series to give Lundqvist a break before Penguins and Bruins

Will never understand how the Coyotes compete year after year. Talk about an organization that always seems to have a team that makes something out of...well, not very much.

Maybe Doan's leadership is underrated.

always? as in the past few years? before that they were a joke.

its because their coach has them playing NJ Devils hockey. good for regular season, doesnt work in the playoffs imho. not without some outstanding goaltending, or some elite level offensive players to score you some goals. .

They finished sixth in the West last season with 99 points. With that team?

They finished fourth in the West the year before with 107 points! With that team?

Those aren't even just sneaking in type of seasons. Those are damn good ones.

Yes, always was the wrong word. They're in contention again this season though and I'm sorry but that roster is just not that impressive. They're more than the sum of their parts.

How does everyone think Torts plays the goalie situation this week? Looks like Hank is in tonight. Does he start Thursday against Ottawa and Saturday against Toronto as well? This allows Biron to play Sunday night in Montreal against the worst team of the bunch in a place that Hank doesn't play well?

That was my initial thought but with them really limiting Hank's workload this season I wouldn't be surprised if Biron started two of these games though. Maybe play Marty on Thursday against Ottawa and then Hank Saturday and Marty Sunday?

does anyone know where I can find the Rangers' third jersey schedule? I have a feeling they'll be wearing them tonight.

I agree for the most part, except I don't believe in sheltering Henke from playing in Montreal. They could still end up the 7-8 seed and Id rather have Henrik get used to winning there now than have an unknown become a factor in the playoffs. Unlikely altogether, but I still wouldn't keep Henke from playing that game simply for that reason alone. If for other reasons, torts decides its better to play Biron and rest Henke then, I'm fine with it.

It'll be very interesting to see how they respond to playing so horribly against Pitt but still coming away with the W
