Right now, I'd only take Kane, Benn and Coutoure over Perron.

me too, as well as vanReimsdyk for sure....but, coming from a team that's starved for a half decent d-man, i'd take McDonagh, Shattenkirk and Subban as well. sorry, Perron might be playing well, but he's missed a lot of games the last couple of years.

Brandon Sutter continues to get criminally underrated.

Yeah, I'm a homer.

from the leafs, both gunnarsson and frattin should have gone higher (7th and 4th round respectively). Don't think either of them make first round though, maybe gunner in the high 20's..

Hope this list is a joke.
Justin Braun plays for the San Jose Sharks, and had 11 points in 28 games last season. I don't know where 25 points came from, but I assure you that he has 30+ point potential as a top-4 two-way D in this league.

I agree with most of this. I wouldnt even draft Omark though. He couldnt cut it on the worst team in the league, he wont be/isnt an NHLer. I would take Perron over Voracek and van Riemsdyke though. 2007 didnt end up being as bad as I thought it would but it definatly had no depth to it.

Pretty good list. Would make some adjustments. Alec Martinez should be up a few spots (definitely ahead of Weber, arguably Gunnarson and Blum as well). I'd also take Sutter before Turris, even if Turris has more upside. And Perron ahead of Voracek, but that's my personal preference.

That's a very good list however would you really take JVR before Max Pacioretty?

I'm not even a big Gagner fan, but some of these players being listed over him are silly? Eller? Please.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, they are pretty equal in my opinion.

I'd take Benn #1. Big PPG potential center > small inconsistent elite winger.

Equal? Until Van Riemsdyk actually lives up to his potential, it's easily Pacioretty. 33 G and 65P >> 21G and 40P (JVR's best season)

I was feeling crappy about Thrashers trading away the 1st rounder and not having one that year. But then I see Tangradi in at 23 and think he must be waaaaay too high. But looking at guys below him, he may be a little high, but not completely unreasonable. Could reasonably slot in at 30th. So thanks for making me feel better - Jets do have a 2007 first rounder considering we gave Pens only a 2013 7th rounder to get him. 2013 is deep, but not that deep.

ps. Oh dam. I was just browsing old redrafts and then posted like it was a current thread without thinking. Didn't mean to bump a dusty old thread. My bad and sorry - mods feel free to rejunk this thread.
