Also right now what I'm noticing is that our team is full of puck moving players...which is why MacLean's system still works without Karlsson.
Turris/Alfredsson, Spezza, Foligno...so even without Karlsson there to lead the rush it gives other guys opportunities to do it and our defencemen don't need to venture too far into the offensive zone. Our offence might suffer a little bit but the likelihood that we allow odd-man rushes without Karlsson making high risk plays is lowered IMO.
We're better with Karlsson, but right now the team is doing a great job of compensating. Of course...it is only half way through one game.
