Just like Marchand's diary. So amazing.

Just like Chicago last year.

Of course they were down 3-0 before they actually got going.

Relying on turning it on in the playoffs is a recipe for disaster.

I agree about the defenceman thing 100% current corp is not good enough. MG just has to know this, even with Salo, he needs a Stud plain and simple. He cannot be like Burke was with the goaltending and sticking with Cloutier... MG has to get a Stud Dman and improve it. It is what the team is missing.

But I have more faith this season than last. why? last year they went so hard they ran out of gas, playing such good hockey that by the time they finished game 5 they were done.

This year they are playing good enough to not only win the division but the confrence, and playing with one goal. Game 1 of the first round.

So fix the D. Get to round 1. That's all I care about... and be as injury free as possible.

Chicago shouldn't have made the playoffs. They only did because Dallas choked .

Big difference. Vancouver is 1st in the conference .

In the playoffs, it's a crapshoot. I don't think you can ever blame any team for being lazy in the playoffs. Both teams are trying their best, it just so happens that there are times when one team is playing so well that it becomes a one-sided series, like the Canucks/SJ series was.

Personally, I believe Chicago came out as hard as they could, but they ran into a freight train the first 3 games of the series. I don't think they were coasting.

And I should Add it isn't like the other teams such as Detroit, Chicago, San Jose are ripping it up. Only the Blues look like they are playing playoff hockey now. That Blues game will be a big test.

Vancouver has some games in hand, but by the time they are used up they should be within 3-5 points, easy to make up.

No, I don't think it is unfair. Granted, he may have hit a wall. But it doesn't look like he's gassed. It looks more like he's reverted to what he was. _That's_ why he's being criticized.

He's not long for this team IMO.

That doesn't register to me.

Dallas didn't make it to the playoffs because they weren't good enough to win their most important game of the season.

Chicago at least had enough points to qualify. They ended weak, but Dallas did even more so.

I just fail to understand how a team that makes the playoffs shouldn't have. They got there in an 82-game season, they must have done something right.

Dallas held their own destiny in their hands and choked. That's how Chicago made it. I seem to recall Chicago getting a game gifted to them by the refs against St.Louis towards the end of the year. Obviously Chicago got the 8th seed and earned the berth but it wasn't without some luck.

Wait, the Canucks won? Read a couple pages and it sounded like the sky was falling.

The negative nancy hockey fans in Canada are in my opinion guys with a little bit of hockey experience, like beer league, minors, etc, who think that makes them experts, but actually don't have enough of a life to be anything but critical cause that makes them feel better about themselves. These guys think if the team doesn't win every game by at least five goals the players aren't trying and there is something fundamentally wrong with the team.

Anyways, didn't see the game, heard Hodgson was with Kesler - how'd he look?

Hodgson was a bright spot in the game, as he has been this entire road trip.

I know usually what I say at critical moments turn out to be the opposite so that is why I said that. It is all me that Canucks won.

Being all the way negative, or all the way positive are both illogical stances to take IMO.

Edit: Took out a comment that may be too argumentative.
