The entire team defense. We can be out with Staal, Eminger, and Sauer, and play like we have all of them in the lineup.

I'd just like to point out that so many posters on here were preaching the "were not winning anything this year anyway" before the season started. Halfway thru, and we're the best team in the entire league. How quickly y'all have changed your tune. And for the few of us who kept saying "we're not as far away from being a contender as some of you think. We're actually very close. 1-2 players away" kudos for seeing the big picture. This team has character and this team is DEEP. If we make a couple of savvy moves at the deadline, and we can stay healthy, there's absolutely no reason why we can't find ourselves in the finals. Getting past Boston will not be easy, but if I was a Boston fan I'd be saying "getting past the rangers in a 7 game series is not gonna be easy." Philly and Pittsburgh are no slouches either, even without Crosby and Pronger, respectively, but this team just has that x-factor. It's not something you can put your finger on, but all the great teams have it. The Rangers this year have been able to play the same way regardless of the score. That patience, maturity, and confident mentality is so vital in a long playoff series especially through the dramatic momentum swings. We're going to make a long run this spring. Hopefully we win our final game. Do not count this team out. LET'S GO RANGERS!

This team is bad.

But seriously folks as a internet radio celebrity. It's the youth and the coach.

He is on every player focused and holding them accountable. He is locked in on every players performance. praising them and constructively criticizing them.

You could see the difference between Laviolette and Torts in 24/7.

Laviolette was talking more in team concepts and Torts was talking to certain individuals and then adding a team concept at the end of his conversation in the room.

The youth is amazing to watch. The buzz when Hagelin has the puck, Mcdonagh;s rock solid D, Stepan's play making and IQ

The Rangers are young, fun and full of Jam

Exactly for me its the ability to take opportunities to win and capitalize on those chances and finish teams off. Henrik is also having, in my opinion, the best season of his career. The defense also having a lot to do with this. Our young players are proving to Torts and the fans that they deserve to be here and help us with our depth. The depth that will take us far in the playoffs

For me it's the attitude at the moment. They are willing to die for each other which is great! The cheers across the whole team when we win is different from other years. We have no outcasts like Avery, Drury and Redden and most important: The perfect mix between talent and experience!

Rupp, Richards, Biron, Lundqvist, Gaborik with the experience and youngsters like Hagelin, Stepan, Del Zotto, McDonagh can learn everything from them.

I love that staying up to 4am three times a week to watch the games actually feels worth it this year. Earlier seasons I'd often regret giving up sleep to watch them play. This season I fall asleep and wake ( 3 hrs later) with a smile on my face.

That thread should be stickied so it's on the front page the rest of the season. a.) so the guy who made it, has to see it EVERY TIME he's on here. b.) so we can add to it with EVERY win!!

Ability to FINISH games. Even when down multiples goals (like at the winter classic), or in OT, or down in the shoot-out (last night), they find a way to pull through. It's like they just believe they are going to win. Love it.

Also... unselfishness, lack of ego, humor/big personalities.

Winning obviously. Beyond that I love that there really aren't any players on this team that I dislike. For years there have always been guys on the roster that just make me sick to my stomach having to watch them every game. This team is finally full of guys that are great team guys and still contribute. Even guys like Rupper and Feds and Boyle that I can be critical of are extremely likable guys and it's easy to understand their influence on the team. I also love how young we are and how we are just stacked with a young core that will be here for a while. Cally, Dubi, Step, McD, Dizzy, Arty, Danny G, Hank, Pruster, Sauer, love them all.

I like watching the Rangers and not immediately turning the game off because they go down 1 goal.
