Rangers bars in Boston?

Anyone know of Rangers bars in Boston? I've been living in Boston for 5 years and usually watch on Gamecenter Live, but me and some Rags friends want to hit the bar for the first match-up against the Bs. I remember some years ago a bar near TD Bank Garden being packed with Rangers fans, but can't remember which one...

Don't. Just don't.

Edit: Just realised that was your first post, and I probably came off as kind of a jerk. Sorry, bro. Don't use that word, though

Lol..if you didn't say it, I would have.

All due respect to the new poster. Please do not refer to our team by that word. NYR, for people too lazy to type out "Rangers" (again no disrespect meant).

I'm sure that any bar on Canal Street will have plenty of Ranger fans day of the game. As far as a place where Ranger fans go when the Rangers aren't playing here in Boston, I have no idea. It really would be cool to have a place to meet with other fans once the playoffs come around.

It's a derogatory term our rival fans use, mostly Devils fans. Some use the excuse that it's just easier then writing Rangers out, I tell them to stop being lazy jerk-offs.

I went to some bars in South Boston wearing my Rangers jersey and it resulted in many intense hockey conversations with gracious Bruins fans who were more into talking hockey than jumping me 10 on 1.

One woman told me an interesting story. She said she went to college with Torts. He was considered to be a bit of an a-hole, even back then. But she said one night she was very upset about something that had happened to her, was sitting outside on a bench and Torts stopped to talk to her. Ended up spending a few hours consoling her and gave her a ride home. She said he was a sweetheart and didn't give one indication that he had ulterior motives (trying to get in her pants). They exchanged numbers and he called several times to make sure she was OK, but never asked her out on a date or anything...

I've grown to loathe that term myself.

When things like that bother people, it's more about them than the person saying it.

True to a point. It's all about me in the end, LOL.

Seriously, I've heard and seen the term used in a derogatory fashion on many occasions. That's mainly why I don't like it.

you'll be lucky to find too many Rangers bars on Manhattan, never mind another rival city

I think "The Peb" is easier then writing "The Rock" too

I don't see what's wrong about not wanting out team to be insulted. Calling anything a "rag" is derogatory.

I just finished up school in Boston and i always had a tough time finding Rangers games. Recently, a friend and I found Sports Grille Boston which is right next to TD Garden. They had a million TVs and were happy to put on MSG. It didn't seem like it was necessarily a Rangers bar though, most people were there to watch the bruins.
