Kadri to Montreal
Kadri seems like the type of forward that would thrive in Montreal. Young, fast, shifty, quick hands.
Wondering what they would give up for him.
Let's leave the "terrible trade partners" argument out of this, since they HAVE in the past and WILL trade with each other again at some point.
Not sure if this really matters, but he grew up a Habs fan too

Lars Eller, PK Subban or Carey Price has to be in a deal or else Burke slams the phone down so hard on Gaulthier that his hand goes numb.

Players on montreal that the leafs could use would be Pacioretty and Subban. Doubt either of those players are moved, and im sure the leafs would have to add something significatn to get one.

On a serious note, I would offer Leblanc.

Would a habs fan do Kristo and weber for Kadri and Franson? Would a leaf fan do Kristo and Weber for Kadri and Franson? Ask yourself the second question and im Pretty sure the answer to that answers your question.

first off ... 100% your dad is stronger, my dads a *****
second ... i don't think that would make too much sense unless a pick came with leblanc ... both young fwd's kadri arguably more upside + further along

As a fairly neutral party I'd probably take Eller over Kadri. Give me the well-rounded C over the higher-scoring W.

If a Kadri deal would get done Toronto would want expereince in return.
Montreal has some great young players but their experienced ones are grossly over payed. Subban, Paccioritti or Price are worth more than Kadri.
I could see value in an Eller or LeBlanc for Kadir but don't see why the Leafs would want to trade Kadri for another young prospect at this point.
One player I could see fitting in on Toronto would be Hal Gill who coudl help on the PK but you're not gonan give up Kadri for him.
I'm neither a Leafs or Habs fan btw.

eller, gill
for
kadri + 3rd ??
problem here ... it makes tor's defense even deeper when if anything, they'll be trying to package or ship one out ... so it would have to be after a dman is moved imo

Just combine them
Schenn, Kadri, Franson for Subban, Kristo, Weber
I kind of like the Leafs package better though.

Different types of Dmen. Subban's upside is more than Franson's (and I really like Franson). I don't know of Kadri is enough to even it out.
And do they need Subban? Gardiner looks to be the same sort of rushing offensive Dman. I don't see that happening.
As for Kadri to the Habs, I think he's worth more to the Leafs as a potential star, or as part of a larger deal vs what the Habs (or anyone) else would offer for him individually.
