Thats your opinion. Unless you work in Nashville's front office, you can't say for sure. And if you do work in Nashville's front office, get back to work slacker.

How is Fistric aside from being a solid hitter? I ask because we already have Peckham, who is a solid hitter, but has brain cramps with the puck. If Fistric has that issue, the Oil likely don't need him with Peckham on the team.

I could see them getting the kind of return that Versteeg got the Leafs last Feb.

Late first and third, or something along those lines.

Some team will always go after whatever is available before deadline day.

I have no idea what fair value actually is for him though.

Sounds about right. Higher upside, but more risk, so yeah, I could see a first and a 3rd or 4th (or equivalent player)

When he's on his game, he's definitely a game breaker. It's just to bad that he gets injured. He's been playing quite well these last couple games though, but that's probably because Hall is insanely hot right now.

Hope Tambo can get a good prospect + 1st.

Jets offer Oduya, Festerling and Jones

But I think NYR and San Jose make offers,

NYR - McDonaugh, Zuccarrello and 1st
San Jose - 1st, Hamilton and McGinn

He's a ufa to be. It makes no sense for the Habs to be targeting him at this point. Your habs should be trading away ufa's to be not acquiring them.

This would be my best guess. 1st and 3rd, or prospects with similar value.

Hes has had a reasonably good season as a shut down D man in his own zone. Hes has improved.

He will only be a 3rd paring guy, but he is usually his physicality very well and IMO improved alot on positioning around the crease.

He wont give you much offense but doesnt make many turnovers or mistakes..at his peak in terms of age too..

He's making a lot more sense than you are, in my opinion.

Last February? Maybe. But Hemsky is about to become a free agent, has missed even more time with injuries, and is in the middle of a terrible season. None of that helps his current value.

There's a major difference in the two situations though. Versteeg is and was, not only under contract but under team control. He also had 14 goals and 21 assists. Stats Hemsky wont be anywhere near come the deadline.

With regards to the bolded, that's not entirely true. Not in the absolute sense you make it seem, anyway. Pens fans simply don't want to pay the price that certain Oilers fans believe Hemsky will cost to acquire him.

I think almost to a poster, Pens fans aren't against acquiring Hemsky ... just so long as it doesn't cost a core player or one of Despres/Morrow. If the price is reasonable, he could be a nice addition to the Pens for this year's stretch drive.

The problem is, Oilers fans seem certain it'll cost a Kings' ransom to acquire him. And if that is true, that's the scenario in which Pens fans "hate the thought of getting him".

No way from LA.

Hickey + ... sure. Or Martinez.

Voynov is going no where but back into the LA lineup.

But I dont think we'd give up a first for Hemsky, maybe the Oilers want to take back Penner?

Hickey + Penner + 2nd

No Oduya wouldn't work at all. You guys would need a younger defenseman that has a chance to step in this year or next perhaps(Kulda or Postma for example). Antro is not a good fit for EDM at all.

I would think Philly is going to be a possibility, for a number of reasons. I also think he wont fetch nearly as much as he "should" be worth, its too bad that his career has been so damaged by injuries because he really was one the most skilled players in the league. He is still pretty young though and next year with a change of scenery I think he could have good come back season. Right now though he is done in Edmonton.

Fistric and a 2nd would be quite attractive to me.

Yep. People forget about that all the time. They express their opinions unless it's the actual opinion of the management of their team. People were quite passionate about what Edmonton would or wouldn't get for Penner before the deadline last year. That trade sure made fools them them, didn't it?

If the 2nd was switched to a 1st(Does L.A even have their first?) I think Edmonton would make that deal.

Then... Edmonton magically deals Penner to an eastern team for a 2nd.
