Those are just the projected lineups by a group of guys on NHL.com. The rosters will be announced tomorrow

There is still hope for Jagr or Hartnell!

As much as I love Hartnell, he's really not Allstar game material. He's a grinder without spectacular vision, hands and skating. He's good at what he does, but I'd rather see an underperforming Semin in the game and skills comp.

Jagr still looks gimpy, I'd rather see him rest. The all star break is conveniently timed in that regard.

I hear ya, I just think it would be awesome to see him in an all star uniform.

If by some chance Hartnell does make the all star game, they should make him participate in the fastest skater and breakaway challenge. Just give away "#Hartnell Down" signs in the crowd.

Now that would be entertaining

If Giroux, Timonen and Selanne make it, my wallet is going to be very depressed.

Any chance this thread title can be made less...misleading?

Hartnell has produced like an All-Star, hence he deserves to go. And he'd be an excellent choice to wear a mic during the skills competition.

Three is pretty good for an all star game. Can't really complain.

Pretty much as I expected, I'd rather Jagr didn't make it. I could see Briere or Harts making it too but don't really expect it. (Briere just for being a big name)

I agree Hartnell should go, but he should be the first player ever excluded officially from a skills competition. Unless there's an "ugly goal" competition.

hartnell has better numbers than evander kane, james neal and jarome iginla. 1 more point than bergeron too, but he's played 2 more games.

he should be there, he's earned it IMO.

Read > Hartnell?

Meh. I love Read, but that's quite a stretch.

TBH, I was hoping Jagr and Timonen wouldn't make it so they could rest.

i think read is only being projected as being in the rookie game and competition segment of the event, if i'm not mistaken.

I can't stand when people talk about how they wish guys didn't make it so they can rest. It is one game of fun and messing around. They aren't going full speed. They aren't having bag skates after the game if they play poorly. If you are worried that Jagr doesn't have the stamina to mess around for a weekend, then he is going to need a lot more than those couple days off during the break.

Ideally, Giroux, Timonen, and Jagr would be representing the Flyers in the All-Star Game, while Read would be one of the rookies (taking part in the fastest skater competition). It looks like Jagr could use the time off, however, so I don't mind him being left off the official roster. I think Jagr has paid his dues to the league and I recall him turning down an ASG invitation a few years ago while he was a Ranger.

For me the problem is not really fatigue. Rather, it's the injury risk involved in playing an ostensibly meaningless game midseason.

Can't imagine too many people here would be impressed if G goes down with another concussion in the name of the ASG...
