I'd put Schenn or Hodgson before Couturier on the wing. Couturier is an awesome center.

Willing to bet Clowe is coming to Toronto. Burke has been after him forever.

That would be awesome! I'm a big fan of Clowe and he's exactly what we need. But I don't think that the Sharks would trade him.

the other thing to keep in mind is that Burke's previous MO was to make trades that were completely out of the blue. Sure, people knew about the kessel deal before it happened, and kaberle was a no brainer, but nobody saw the phaneuf, giguere , versteeg, or beauchemin trades coming.

because of that, i'd be slightly surprised if its philly, simply because of all the current speculation. however, whoever mentioned clowe might be onto something

We'll give you Hemsky and Peckham for Komisarek and a pick.

I'd do schenn+1st for JVR+2nd. A mid 1st+philly's late 1st could get close to the top 10 to pick philly's future #1 dman.

Wouldn't even trade schenn for JVR... if we wanted a guy like Bobby Ryan we would go after Bobby Ryan, not Bobby Ryan Lite.

I agree. If schenn were to be traded I would rather use him in a trade with the ducks then for jvr.

Not to mention we have Kulemin so not entirely sure why we would give up Schenn for a player the leafs don't have a need for. JVR to the leafs makes no sense, they would rather keep schenn.

Vancouver gets it up the ass here... we're trading Hodgson and Ballard for Schenn? at this point I wouldn't trade Hodgson alone for Schenn let alone adding a to[ 4 D man as well. Hodgson is pretty much untouchable trading him opens up another hole on the 3rd line and the kid is a beast 6 pts behind Kesler with 11 mins of ice and not on the 1st unit PP, can't see Gillis trading this kid. But I would LOVE to have Schenn here, he's a great young D man and right handed which is a want in Van not a need.

People still care what Burke has to say about anything?

He just loves the sound of his own voice.

I'd like to hear who these sources are. Hard to see a reasonable trade that would make SJS a better team now by sending Clowe out.
