You need to keep in mind his cap hit and how badly he's underperforming if you want to keep it realistic. I honestly don't know where to begin with this one.
Obvious holes down the middle. Stafford is a winger, definitely moveable from our POV.
I'd send Toronto Derek Roy, Drew Stafford and one of MA Gragnani or Mike Weber for Luke Schenn and Toronto's 2nd round pick in 2012.
Buffalo will be in a partial rebuild mode to straighten out this mess both on the defensive and offensive ranks.
Schenn played extremely well with Myers in the minors and has proven he can play at the NHL level.
I would want Buffalo to focus on draft picks and prospects at the deadline but this deal would go a long way to making Buffalo a competitive team 2 years from now in my humble opinion.

That's just...bad. Schenn is tremendously overrated because of the city he plays in. He has the 7th best quality of competition rating on the Leafs blueline, so Wilson isn't matching up him against top players. He's a second-pairing defenseman right now. We're not trading our top center for another second-pairing defenseman, especially when we have those in spades (Sekera, Ehrhoff, Leopold, Regehr, et al.). And I'll guarantee you this, if Roy's traded, Darcy will not trade him within the division.
As to the OP, I'd want Kadri or Colborne or a package like Bozak + Aulie. It may take more, though, given that there's usually a premium on intra-divisional trades.

It's not bad considering Derek Roy is not playing up to a top line center. Outside of the past 2 seasons, he never has. And last season may or may not haven been a point per game pace, but we'll never know given the injury.
Luke Schenn on the other hand has gone against top lines, I've watched many a Leaf game this season, I don't know where your getting your information from, but I get mine from actually watching the games.
He was a beast against the Red Wings and Rangers already this season.
Colborne would be nice, but I don't see Burke letting him go. Kadri is also making a splash in the AHL. He's shown some signs of life in the NHL as well. I wouldn't mind either one of these players, good choices.

Even if he's performing like a 2C, why are we trading the only top-6 NHL center in our entire organization for another defenseman. Add in the fact that you added Stafford and Weber to that proposal, and it's terribad. Just awful. We all make bad proposals now and then. That was one.

Since the departure of the co-captains Roy has produced like a top-6 center by any metric.

Luke Schenn has the 7th best QoC of Leafs defensemen who've played at least 10 games. The only Leaf defenseman that plays a worse QoC is Komisarek. This is not an opinion. Look on Behind the Net. He's not a top-pairing defenseman, and his coach isn't deploying him as such. He's playing against third-pairing competition.

I'm with you on Colborne.
I have a feeling that if Kadri is brought up, Burke starts mumbling about that's why he never talks trades with Regier!

this is the worst proposal posted on HF at 8:53 am today
I could see Leafs willing to part ways with Grabo and Bozak and even Colborne maybe but Kadri I'm not sure would be moved unless its a big time player or deal.
What would it take to pry Stafford away? Pry is a strong word for a lot of Sabres fans. There are many who'd gladly drive Drew up the QEW after work today.

ROFL, that was my thoughts exactly when I read the post.
