Would this be a good change up for next game?

Kostitsyn Cammalleri Cole
Pacioretty Eller Gionta? Injury
Moen Plekanec Blunden
Nokelainen Desharnais Darche

Cammalleri played center some games before coming to Montreal, let's gives it a try with some size on his wings.

Subban Gorges
Emelin Kaberle
Weber Diaz

We need to sit Gill for a game. I have seen his play degrade and I know fans have been asking for it. Just tonight! The turn overs, slow puck pursuit, not being a factor in front of the net. The way it's going, it won't hurt to sit him right now and play the lung guys. Not saying the season is completely done yet but I don't think at this point it's going to bother us we could use it as a refresh for him.

Moen-Eller-Kostitsyn
Pacioretty-Plekanec-Cole
Leblanc-Desharnais-Palushaj
Dumont-Nokelainen-Blunden

Gorges-Subban
Emelin-Diaz
St-Denis-Weber

Price
Budaj

Healthy scratches

Gionta, Gomez, Gill, Kaberle, Campoli, Darche, Cammalleri.

I'd do that personally for one game. Would send a very loud and clear message.

There's no good lineup we can do with this roster.

Bingo. Perfect balance. I like the Cammy-DD-Cole line, its clicked in the past and i think DD can wake Cammy up. Eller line is obvious and Plek gets two solid wings. Dunno about Campoli over Gill but still great lineup.

I can understand for Darche, but Desharnais actually is our best centreman.

All I can conclude form your post is that you don't like Quebecers.

Ive read three post about him wanting to get rid of desharnais one was trading him for a nugget meal at mc donalds today. Im a dd fan I still dont see why he gets hate on. I believe he is a perfect 3rd line/pp specialist center showing he can move up if need be. Most people see 5,7 177 and just hate on his size, in the past 2 season he has 85gp 14g 34a 48pts and is a positive player on a negative team.

I normally am the first to scream for more toughness, gooning and enforcing on the Habs, but DD simply is great. You can play small players if you can surround them with big sized guys.

Forwards are good but I would like to try something different on defense.

Subban - Emelin
Gorges - Kaberle
Weber - Diaz

I'd like to see if Gorges can shelter the liability that is Kaberle and get something out of him while Subban/Emelin have worked before. Campoli plain sucks, thus give Weber another look, although either will do. Frankly, I preferred St. Denis but we won't call him up.

Edit: If Gill's back, then slot him in over Weber/Campoli

I don't think having Desharnais sheltered by Cole/Pacioretty is helping our cause. Ideally he will be switched to wing when Gomez returns, he's a match up nightmare on our behalf.

The size needs to be balanced out, right now it isn't.

Don't flame me, but Gomez is a better option than DD playing against quality opposition, points aren't everything.

I would try to add balance to the lineup

Pacioretty Pleks Gionta
Cammy Gomez Cole
Desharnais Eller Kostitsyn
Moen Nokes Darche or remove noke and double shift plecs/gomez/eller

Yemelin Gorges
Kaberle/Campoli Subban
Gill Diaz

You misquoted me and that should be an infraction for you!

What I said was we should trade him for a McNugget Happy Meal! Don't forget the happy!

You put our best two centers between Moen, Blunden, Nokelainen and Darche.

DD is probably the last "smurf" to get rid off. Put him with Pacs and Cole and you're fine.

Cammalleri-DD-Cole
Pacioretty-Eller-Kostitsyn
Moen-Plekanec-Blunden
Weber-Nokelainen-Darche/Gomez

Two offensive lines. One shut down line. Because of our roster, one 'spare player' line.
I'd leave the D-pairings the same, not because I think they're great but because I'm not sure they'd be better off with changes.

I would try this:

Cole - Eller - A.K -> The 3 guys who can actually do something as of right now. Plus, Cole is like Moen but with better hands and hockey sense.

Leblanc - Plecky - Pactches
DD - Gomez - Cammy
Blunden - Noky - Darche

Recall Schultz or claim MacIntyre, THAT would be a logical move for the game tonight !
