I'm expecting an offensive explosion from the Rangers. They are definitely due for a big game. Gabby with the hat-trick. Del zotto, richie, and Cally get on the score sheet. 6-3 Rangers.

Oh no I agree. You'd expect rust for sure. I'm strictly talking effort and battle level and seeing a willingness to win some puck battles and show that he doesn't want to come out of the lineup.

Good luck tonight guys. Should be one hell of a game the way these two teams are playing. I just hope for our sake that Anderson plays the way he has been over the last little while.

He was sent down to Binghamton a while back. Maclean didn't think he was confident enough with the puck, seemed a little tentative and was playing safe. He's been great down in Binghamton, though. 15 points in 18 games.

Since then, we've acquired Turris, which will make it difficult for Da Costa to crack the lineup. Zack Smith is beginning to really shine as our third-line centre, as well. I can't see Da Costa being called up this year, but I expect him to push for a spot in next season's training camp.

It seems some Sens fans have already given up on him seeing as Spezza, Turris, Zibanejad, Smith, Regin and Konopka make for a lot of depth at centre. I thought Da Costa looked great in his time with the big club, though, and certainly has bigtime skill. We'll just have to see what happens.

gonna be a tough game tonight against the sens. i watched sundays game with ott-phi, game was very fast paced going back and forth. turris has been putting up points with ottawa, if he continues that way then ottawa will have quicky accelerated its rebuild. LETS GO RANGERS!!

The way the Senators have been moving the puck lately, I sincerely hope the Rangers do not come out flat-footed to start. Ottawa is also really good at coming back from behind late in a game.

The only solution is to put together another of those 60 minute (or damn close) efforts. Lots of Senators fans using this game as a measuring stick, says a lot about how the perception of the Rangers has changed this season.

My Gaborik shirt is on..

I think we'll take this one 3-0 with Hags showing he should be in the rookie roster for the all star game with 2 goals and fedd puts the last..

Henrik stops 18 shots..

Dubinsky a no-go. Wolksi in lineup. For Rangers. Not Whale.

That;s a shame. I'd take him on NYR. Kid has a lot of talent. I do see it as a problem with the logjam ottawa has at center. I'm pretty sure Da Costa can play the wing from when I watched him college.

I might be in the minority, but I actually think Wolski being in the lineup tonight is a great thing.

A) The Senators target him and take stupid penalties (thus eliminating their star offensive players from wreaking havoc in this one game), and risk suspensions if they actually injure Wolski (damaging their long-term chances this season) or,

B) Wolski knows he is on a very short leash and despite that is being given a top-6 opportunity on a first-place NHL club and HAS to produce and as such will come out with the one thing that people have been saying he is lacking (effort/heart) and be a legit offensive weapon in the top-6 for at least the end of the year or,

C) Wolski proves he can still play an effective scoring role and can get traded at higher value to another club for a player more befitting of the Rangers or,

D) Wolski comes out and proves he can no longer replicate his 50-60 point days and the Rangers know that he is essentially worthless cap and know that going forward they need to find a replacement in the top-6 after the season.

I don't really see any negatives, with Dubinsky nursing an injury, it's one game against a hot team, but not one that's in immediate striking distance, a good measuring stick game for Wolski, and a game the Rangers can afford to lose (more-so than the Boston game, for example), to see exactly what the "New and improved" version of Wolski will look like on this team. If he sucks it up and gets burned all game and the Rangers lose, they cut bait, if he tears it up, the Rangers have a new weapon to add to an already dangerous team without needing to make a trade. It's really a win-win right now.

9-1-2 in their last 12.

Good luck tonight boys!

I'm excited to play against a top team tonight and use it as a measuring stick.

Here's to a good game!

Any word on linemates for W2?

My guess would be
AA | DS | MG
RF| BR| RC
WW | BB | CH
MR | JM | BP

Don't like Feds on the second line, but I'd be surprised if it's not him.

One chemistry experiment that I was hoping would come to fruition is Wolski-Richards. I think they can play off each other nicely. Let's hope it works.

Two hot teams up against eachother. How can you not get pumped for this one!

I hope you're right. I'd like to see Wolski with Richards and Callahan, but he hasn't played a hockey game since forever. There's going to be a lot of rust there, so I don't expect him playing 2nd line minutes. The only real alternatives on the 2nd line as I see them are W2 and Feds (or maybe hags), and as Torts has way more confidence in the latter, I think he get's the spot.
