haha I love how they showed HF on that video. It would've been sick to see your own avatar and name on CBC. I saw Gump Hasek on there (as well as the sharks fans and ps241).

Very impressive hospitality.
The hospitality only applies to the FIRST Shark fans!

Brad (ps241) is amazing, can't say enough about him. Great guy and it was a pleasure to meet you and everyone that came out. Brad paid for everyone that came out. You're an amazing man.

I've had a couple drinks so if my posts aren't coherent in the GDT I'm sorry.

well not everyones gonna get free tickets and beers so don't get your hopes up. But hey, Winnipeg is a more interesting city than people give it credit for. I'd be delighted to see more people check it out.

So let's see now. We've had AllyK come here who is a Phoenix Coyotes Fan and now 2 Shark Fans from California. This is becoming quite a trend now.

I wonder who will be next?

Ally lived in Phoenix but was a Red Wings fan if I'm not mistaken

Sharks fan here. Blown away by this story. If you notice in the 1st page of the thread, my girlfriend and I were actually planning on coming for this game as well. We are on the same mission that AirShark is on where we want to see the Sharks play in every NHL city before we die. We initially planned on doing a Minnesota/Winnipeg trip, but we got a fantastic Groupon deal for a 5 star hotel in Vancouver and much better airfare, so we ended up spending New Year's Eve in Seattle and then taking the train to Vancouver to see the Sharks/Canucks game.

Shame that re-alignment is postponed, otherwise my girlfriend and I would have come to Winnipeg next season. After we read this story, we made a decision that we'll come when we play in Winnipeg again for the 2013-2014 season.

AirShark - Keep me updated on where your Shark travels are. We're thinking of doing our next Sharks road trip on March 8th in Dallas!

The free tickets are definitely rare but I can see a lot of free beers being bought... if the people are cool

I completely second this. Thanks so much ps241 for organizing this and being awesome . Amazing time, cannot thank ps241 enough. Pleasure meeting everyone who came out, it was awesome.

It was surreal at the tavern with random people walking up to us asking if this was the hfboards table after hearing about us on the news or here. Just awesome. Even cbc new filming (of course ps241 being the amazingly modest person he is was absent the whole time that went on), just insane.

Well I cannot offer what ps241 can, but I can sure as hell offer free beers before the game if you do come up. Hope you do come up, this city is the friendliest I have ever been in, many will help you out. Hope you come up as soon as possible!

This forum ****ing rules, don't really know what else to say. I'm not even mad about the loss anymore, tbh. This is one of those moments where you realize that the love of this beautiful game can transcend fanbases, wins and losses.

You're a true mensch, Brad. What a kind ambassador you are to our city. Big ups to anyone else here who extended their hospitality to our Sharks friends.
