Whatever. We were bound to lose a game at some point. We weren't gonna go 41-0 the rest of the way people lol
We're still a better team than Ottawa. Onto the Maple Leafs whom hopefully can finally beat.
But to get shutout by the only team in the ****ing league that hasn't shutout an opponent and has the 27th worst GAA in the league. A ****ing disgrace. In the 3 games we've played against Ottawa I haven't seen anything that's showed me that we're better than them, ditto the Leafs.
Terribly coached game by Tortorella. Down by 1 goal in the 3rd, you need offense, and you throw out stone hands Boyle and Fedotenko every other shift? 1 min left on the PP to start the 2nd and he throws out their line as the 2nd unit and they don't even get set up in the zone...smh
We looked good in the 1st but after that, nothing. Give full credit to Ottawa and their 'tender. Let's bounce back in Toronto and try to actually LOOK like a dangerous offensive team. Also, our PP has to start clicking, this was a game that could have been 1-1 going into the 3rd if it wasn't for our absolutely horrendous powerplay. Watching the Philly-Isles game when ours was on commercial, the Islanders PP moves the puck well and looks dangerous. There's no excuse why our powerplay can't be ~20%.
Boyle hasn't been as bad as he was this game all season. Looks like he's becoming a whipping boy.
THAT BEING SAID, he's atrocious offensively and is a good 4th liner, but he's in over his head as a 3rd liner being relied on to score and match up against teams top lines to boot. Hope Torts realizes that.
Why the F is he matching up that line with OTT's top line so ****ing much?
Like Torts but this is arguable one of his poorest choices this season
Stop with the monday morning armchair coach ******** already! They're going to lose once in a while and they might even lose both games this weekend so we have to accept it and move on. Their lack of a top offense is bound to rear it's ugly head every now and then. Nothing more we can say or do will change it.
Bound to lose, but mostly they were flat. It's only one game but I stand by my belief that this team needs a top 6 scorer. AA ain't gonna get it done there. Find a top 6 scorer, move AA to 3rd line center and play him with Feds and Hags. Dump Wolski, for a small cup of Tim Horton's coffee. I believe if they want to compete in the post season they must add a top 6 wing. Regular season's one thing, but when it comes down to a 7 game series Rangers lack top 6 scoring
