The Kings did not necessarily lose because of the refereeing tonight. But it was still a horribly refereed game.

Bad non-calls, very badly wrong calls, and loss of control over the game is the trifecta of bad refereeing, and we saw that tonight.

I would be none too pleased tonight if I were the league supervisor of on-ice officiating.

Especially when more and more players are wearing the visor year after year.

I hate visor fighters, I don't know why Richards does it. But still have his back 100% for fighting, just wish he would take off his helmet like Iggy.

It was a hard fought game. The Kings may have lost a point in the standings, but they gained locker room points for the rest of the season! Richards made that sacrifice. The Refs called it by the books! Its was the Kings job to at least clear the puck within a minute as to not have tired players out on the ice. The Morrow hit was clean! Should he have let up because Kopitar was in a vulnerable position? Yes. But the puck was in a prime scoring position and Morrow had to make sure he took a Kings player out of the play. The only thing that I have a problem with was Souray's Douchiness Cowardly play by punching people in the back of their heads and when they are tied up on the ice! Doughty meant to run over Lehtonen as he lowered his shoulder after being pushed instead of jumping over the him! He was still a good distance away and he could of avoided the goaltender!

He was so upset about Kopi that I think it slipped his mind. If it was a challenge, I'm sure he would have taken it off.

I think all the penalties and dirty stuff probably evened out for both teams.

It's hockey.

Kings got away from their defensive game early, and it cost them; at the same time it was nice to see try and be more offensive, they just need to find a balance.

Loktionov continues to play well.

The 2nd line is completely ineffective. Richards hasn't done much lately, but it doesn't help that his linemates (Penner & Stoll) have been TERRIBLE.

There's a lot of positives to take out of this game.

Kopitar looks to be OK.

Glad we put the puck in the net. Kopi will be ok, he's a gamer. Doughty is never going to get calls with the way he dives and shows up the refs. Great player but he needs to tone it down a bit.

You misunderstood (and it was confusing on the broadcast). Fox was talking about Souray's jumping on Williams and taking cheap shots after the action with Doughty.

It was in reference to the Richards penalties and not the game. I think the officiating wasn't that bad but the Kings did get more of the bad calls versus the Stars, though the margin wasn't as big as everyone was making it to be.

Dallas is just that kind of team though. Always pushing the boundaries, running players, dirty plays. Im surprised Steve Ott hasnt been skewered by now. It would be worth it to pick up MacIntyre off waivers just to turn loose on Ott. Tell him he gets three times whatever salary he loses to suspension and let him go.

You kidding? The officiating was awful tonight and it started from the beginning of the game. When you create frustrated players by making bad calls you get the ending of this game. Plain and simple. If you're giving out 10 minute misconducts in the final ten minutes of a tie game you ****ed up.

Name one call that the Kings were totally hosed on. The Doughty trip? TBH, I think he dove to embellish it. The misconduct on Richards? That was an automatic call for instigating + visor rule. The Misconduct at the end of the game again involving Doughty? He lowered his shoulders into Lehtonen! What the officials did miss is Souray going ape s***t during that scrum!

In the Caps game, Chimera only got 2 for roughing instead of an instigator for going after Mitchell. Richards could have gotten the same treatment; what he did wasn't worthy of 4 minutes shorthanded in addition to the 5 for fighting even if the rule technically says that.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Loki is gonna succeed much in LA? Sure, he's been playing okay, but he really hasn't impressed me at all. He's not fit for this system. Kid needs to get stronger. Until then, he won't do jack **** on this team.

So you can say that this ref got it right and the ref last game missed the call. It was called how it was supposed to have been called.

I will NOT say that. I don't care that you are correct, too pissed to be rational.

I liked the move he made. For both the breakaway and the shootout attempt.

Michael Richards @MRichie_10

So the NHL thinks we should all wear visors so why do we get penalized if we fight with them on? #whatajoke

guess he's not happy about the penalty lol
