Because everyone on Twitter tells the truth. Except for Edward Neary.
These are PENGUINS FANS that are saying they witnessed the incident. One of which works at the CEC. Edward Neary is 1 person, not 5 different individuals who witnessed an event. Just do some research and you'll see that they aren't lying.

What if a group of 5 friends who are all Penguins fans decided to play a prank? Just saying, it's not that out there. I don't trust Twitter unless I know they're legit (i.e. Bob McKenzie).
Otherwise there's not really much research out anywhere except for this one Penguins blog. Which once more reverts to my previous point of legitimacy. You're more than welcome to your opinion, but if I listened to everything I read on the internet I'd still be waiting for that prince in Nigeria to send me that half of the $2.5 million inheritance he promised me.

Completely agreed. I am just as skeptical as you are. So that's why I looked into it. After seeing this evidence, it's clear to me that there's no chance that it's a hoax. Feel free to look yourself and you will understand
Aside from the occasional **** talk and conversing with fellow Flyers fans in my section... yes, you assume correctly. I always feel out of place, too, because I'm not wearing a suit and tie like the government employee/consultant/lawyer douches who go to games as an after-work activity and take bathroom breaks two to three times per period to hit the bathroom and blow lines.

Until I see something legitimate report it I'll believe twitter reporters as far as I can throw them. But there seems to be a lot of running up and down escalators so the amount of time this took to happen without anyone seriously stepping in makes it sound a bit out there.
You underestimate the amount of cowards in this world.
First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
So many people will not get involved in anything... no matter how awful, if it does not directly impinge on them.
While they may say when they read of an awful event, 'well, if I was there I would have stepped in.' most of the people who say that, in actual circumstances, do nothing.
I know this from experience, last year I was in a club, near the bar, and a guy at the other end of the bar was heavily hitting on a girl who clearly had no interest, and had told him several times, he appeared to have finally got it, told her she would 'never get any better', started walking away, but then turned round and punched her in the back of the head.
There were about 10 people at the bar who clearly saw the incident, and all did nothing, just turned the other way and looked sheep-fully into their drinks. By this point the guy was walking away... no one had still done anything.
Therefore I instantly jumped in, and proceeded to beat 7 colours of **** out of the little *******. I probably went too far tbh, and the bouncers had to drag me off him. The situation was explained by the girl to the bouncers, and he was kicked out and I allowed to stay.
Came out of the club an hour later with my one friend I was with... and him and 3-4 other guys were waiting for me. I was for the first time in my life beaten up, given two black eyes and a bust lip... would have been far worse but my friend ran back round the corner and got the bouncers from the club to intervene. Must have taken a minute for the bouncers to arrive, yet numerous people walked past and completely ignored what was happening.
More witnesses come forward to describe the beating of the pregnant woman. I think this has to confirm that it happened. Why would all these random people say it happened if it didn't?
I love how more witnesses come forward, but no one did anything to stop the beating of a pregnant lady. Pretty embarrassing if its true, which I doubt, because Im sure someone would have come to her help
How I'm trying to spin it? I was looking for information, that's all. How am I in the wrong? Check the Twitter accounts of all the people involved. They have even said that the video was removed and that it was taken off of the police blotter. Unless all of these witnesses are lying, the police are keeping this covered up so it doesn't get out. Eventually we will hear about it through the news.
The story makes no sense. From the guy and his prego woman continually running up the down escalator (with seemingly no one else on it) to the supposed removal of video. Police are embracing the use of social media to find and punish criminals. Yet the Pittsburgh police are systematically removing all video from the web? And police DO NOT remove items from the blotter, as that is a public record and the punishments could be substantial.

Exactly why I'm not trusting it. MrHockey keeps saying "Do the research and you'll see" but on the entire internet there are only 2 posts on that one blog. So I did the research, and there's barely any reports other than people "claiming" to have seen it. I also checked the twitter girl's twitter and she's obviously an obsessed Penguins fan. Nothing wrong with that, but it wouldn't surprise me if she loved the Penguins blog and was trying to get internet traffic to the site.
Also, the only site on Google News calling anything out on it is here:
I also agree with the blotter thing. If anyone is arrested or written up, it goes in the blotter. People claim police got involved so it should be in there. If it was security then I would understand it not being on the blotter. But if police are "covering something up" there's a lot of firings of Pittsburgh PD in the future.
And like I said, it's a blog. Of course they're going to write stuff to get people to visit their site. Like I said before, look at Eklund on Hockey Buzz.

Listen to the podcast. The guy with the story does not waiver at all. The police were contacted and they have not responded. I would bet a week's pay that this story is true.

True. Hopefully one of his cell block mates beats him.
I checked out both the pictures and the one in the news article is from 2006. It is him, he just gained weight and replaced his goatee with a chin strap.
He was arrested in 2006 in Vero Beach, Fla., for probation of a felony conviction. Records show he lived there at the time.
Veteri was also also has a 2004 arrest in Broward County for heroin possession, as well as a 2001 misdemeanor arrest out of Fort Lauderdale for battery, records show.
Read in one of the articles that they pulled the credit card records(From the Bar I'm assuming) and ran each to check for a criminal record. The Rangers fans were able to pick him from a lineup.

Yep, guy had his card swiped at 7PM at the bar and the incident occurred around 7:15.
Lots of evidence outside of the witnesses pointing to him so he's pretty much done.
