Peca is no where near his former self, and after what he went through the last time he was here, I don't see him wanting to come back, or Regeir/Ruff wanting him back
I don't realistically expect a trade like this to happen for those reasons, really wanted to see how everyone would feel about bringing back Peca. Kind of a 'I'm bored at work and wanted to stir the beehive a little bit' type post

Capt. Ca$h hasn't been the same since Darcy Tucker knocked him over like a can of tuna.

I wouldn't want him at half the price.

You move Marty, you move him for a top two dman.

You too, Chief -- easy on the Nog, guy -- you've got responsibilities here. The second you step out, someone's gonna hit the GCT hardcore, and Corto can't do it all.

Would this deal come with a time machine?

It was great to have Peca at the peak of his game. Unfortunate that he wasted one of his best years, and a chance at another deep playoff run by holding out for about 10-15% more money.

No way that this is a good deal for this team right now.

Exactly. No need for Pec's now. Go after a top Dman or another top power forward.

Just in mdoak's defence, Peca has been really picking it up lately and I would say that he has been a major contributor to the Oilers recent success. Sure his numbers aren't huge but; all the elite players have been basically invisible against the Oil lately due to his huge shut down role. Oilers show him on the fourth line but he has been getting a lot of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line minutes. IMO, I would rather trade off Staios then Peca even though our defence is a bit hurting as long as we brought up some of our younger players. I love having Peca on our team and think he makes a huge difference. If there is any doubt, watch and Oilers game soon and watch how the top scorer of the opposing team does. This being said, I would love to have Biron right now.

Who ever called Torres Mr. October, has no clue what their talking about. There arent alot of players I'd want from Buffalo straight up for Raffi, and Biron certainly isnt one of them. Torres is a young, talented, physcial spark plug, virtually untouchable on the Oilers I'd imagine.
