At least Burnett is as good as gone.

But I am definitely concerned about the Yankees lacking a young impact hitter going forward. Especially when players like Swish and Tex consistently screw up offensively in the playoffs.
Watch them strand godzillian runners.

Michael Pineda's pretty large as well. We can roll them down the field.

NY would LOVE Prince IMO.

I was joking but I'd love to see it happen. I live in WI & he played A-ball in my town. I've kinda watched his whole career.

Kuroda is 37 and was in a hitter-soft division.

Cashman sucks. He's lucky Boston sucks more.

I don't think he has full control which is annoying as well.

Angels are asking for David Robertson in exchange for Trumbo.

Scott Swaim @MLBInsideNews

Source: #Angels and #Yankees discussing Mark Trumbo. Robertson in play.

Cashman won't fall for this LOL.

That Pineda trade is ****ing ******** for the Yankees. Cannot believe they moved Montero for Pineda.

At first, Yanks tried to pursue Felix but the Mariners wanted Montero, Banuelos, Nunez, Nova, etc. This has the feel of Jay Buhner deal all over again.

I hate this deal.

Pineda had one good stretch of 15-20 games or so in Safeco and a weak West. NYC is MUCH different. Hate this. And also Cashman throws in Noesi? What is this? Isiah Thomas with the "sweetners" thrown on top as draft picks?

Montero's good, no doubt, but for being such a dominant hitter he never hit over .900 OPS in AAA. Plus, he's a bad catcher, won't play first base either. Meanwhile, the Yanks had an abysmal pitching staff and just got a guy who can be an ace. And then Noesi has so far been incredibly underwhelming in the Majors (a low walk pitcher who can't find the "low-walk" aspect of his game, albeit small sample size) and Campos has huge upside.

Looks like a great trade.

So now you have 2 potentially great pitchers to take over for CC once he's old and done.

This just made the Yankees even deadlier.

We have young arms in the minors in Banuelos and Betances, Nova here now, and Noesi too, before Cash decided to throw him in. He's got a good future, IMO.

Who's our hitters in the minors? Montero was our future stud in the lineup along with Cano for years to come. All these young arms are getting severely overrated in Gio and now Pineda. It's not like Pineda is some proven arm.

The guy the Mariners "threw in" has a much higher ceiling than Noesi.

I will really miss Montero, though. There's just no use getting attached to young prospects, especially as a Yankee fan.

He had a 3.5 xFIP last year as a 22 year old. By all accounts his only weakness is that he doesn't have a changeup, but he's 6'5, 250 pounds, throws absolute fire, and struck out 9+/9 last year.

And you can't expect both Banuelos and Betances to pan out. Say they do- Pineda, Banuelos, Betances, Nova...that's a ridiculous pitching staff. The Yanks just turned their one weakness into a strength. Not to mention Campos by many accounts has a much higher upside than Noesi.

As an outside observer I think this is a good trade.

Oh, my bad.

Who is this other guy they got? Sorry, only saw Montero/Noesi for just Pineda.

Montero delivered in NY as a friggin rookie. He met expectations. At least give the kid a chance over 140 games.

This means they're babying Afraud again. He'll DH I bet.

When Arod is gone, I'm doing an irish jig

yankees redo rotation, but need a hitter. pena is one they are considering. on @CBSSports. *******.com/782wdqc
Yes, .225 Carlos Pena is clearly the all-around hitter that we desperately need. He is a worse version of Tex.

Remember Javier Vazquez. Great potential, threw 96-98 mph, can't miss prospect with the Montreal Expos LOL. Genius move, Cash.

What righthanded starter held opposing righthanded hitters to the lowest batting avg. in baseball last year? Yessir, Michael Pineda (.184)
