This team needs another Top 6 LW in the worst way.

I hate our weakness at LW... Can we have Bobby Ryan yet?

I just threw up in my mouth.

WTF is this garbage?

Wolski is a waste of space. Please get him out of here. Please. He's dumb as bricks. The guy is completely lost.

Prust in the top six? Why in all things holy?

Torts is starting to lose it.

Sather can't trade for Ruutu and waive Wolski fast enough.

Stepan-Richards-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Callahan
Hagelin-Boyle-Fedtenko
WW-Rupp-Prust

Doesn't make a lot of sense and that's why I usually don't make lines. Leave it up to the coach hell get it right

And no we don't need to trade for a LW just because we lost one game. No need to give up anything we have Kreider

If those were to stick Hagelin would be getting shafted pretty hard.

actually it kinda makes sense cause the Packline has done well together and Stepan and Gabby have done well together

but I agree teams done great no need to shake it up that much

Itd be good to get the LW and have Kreider for assurance, no? I'm not for making a huge trade for one winger right now but I'm sure something could be worked out for an effective LW.

Wolski-Richards-Callahan
Dubi-Stepan-Gaborik
Hagelin-Anisimov-Fedotenko
Rupp-Boyle-Prust
Mitchell plays for Dubi while Dubi's injured

Maybe Hagelin's energy will inspire Anisimov. Though i don't really think Anisimov is jake-ing it.
I wonder if the fourth line's too slow...

For the THIRD TIME

IGNORE THESE LINES. TORTS JUST HAD PEOPLE LINE UP IN PRACTICE. THESE ARE NOT THE LINES MOVING FORWARDS.

And really, Wolski was one of our better forwards last night. The hate for him is pathetic.

It's unfortunate isn't it?

I know stats aren't everything, and I know that they are different players, but:

last year WW scored 19pts in 37 games after being traded. Yeah he got some time playing with our better players, but he also played on the 3rd/4th lines. Everyone (slight exaggeration) has given him grief since the moment he got into town.

This season, playing mainly with our top line, which for a few games had the top goal scorer in the NHL on it, AA has put up 22 pts in 40 games.

Ok he's younger and he's 'home-grown', but why does one get bashed from pillar to post and the other gets a pass?

I'm not a huge WW fan, but the hate on here is amazing....

You got to give to get and as a top team I see no reason to give

Wolski is NOTHING except for untapped potential. And we got him for Rozival. ROZIVAL. Monster trade in our favor.

If he stays up, I'll wager that within 15 games the perception of him here changes. If we can GET all of that potential from him. this team gets a whole lot better, deeper, and competitive.

This, but Wolski is garbage. I'd give him another few games then decide on him. That first line would be able to fly and Hags deserves to at least get a chance at the first line.

as much as most of us love prusts never say die approach, the guy is a turnover waiting to happen. The cross ice passes make me flinch,

Prust is best put in a situation where he can excel, down low, hitting anyone and everyone. Driving to the net and getting back on the counter play.

Putting him on a line for scoring sounds like he is going to be the "defensive" presence or that coach wants some pitbull in the forecheck.

I think that both Dubi and Boyle need a rest so it makes sense to give W2 a shot.

I am hoping the defense starts rotating guys out too. Girardi has played a ton of minutes, blocked a bunch of shots and this fan is a little worried he will be worn out come playoff time.

NY needs to get into the 2nd round at least this post season

We go on a 1 game losing streak and are still in 1st place, but yes, Torts is starting to lose it.

This board never ceases to amaze me.

I also think it might be time to try Richards and Gaborik together again, perhaps even try moving Callahan to the LW. Not permanently, but just for now. He's such a smart player that I doubt it would make much of a difference in his effectiveness. He's pretty good with passing off his backhand, too, as he routinely shows.

Callahan-Richards-Gaborik
Wolski-Stepan-Rupp
Hagelin-Anisimov-Fedotenko
Prust-Boyle-Mitchell
I like that third line, but that's a bit top heavy. I'd try this when we're healthy:

Wolski-Stepan-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Richards-Callahan
Hagelin-Anisimov-Fedotenko
Prust-Boyle-Rupp

He's probably going to his fourth team in four years.

Untapped potential? Eventually it isn't untapped potential anymore and that's what the player is. Dumb, inconsistent, and overpaid.

I know many dont like Wolski but the bottom line is he makes alot of money and has been hurt most of the yr. When a guy like Dubi goes down WW has to be give a chance on the top two lines to do something. Its that simple

Doesnt sound like Dubi will be playing the next two games so this is the guys chance.

Bottom line is if he doesnt earn a spot by the trade deadline he's dealt or waived anyway............then they make a deal for a winger
