''Got outta there in 1 piece after some cheap shots. At least they are showing their colors''

Apparently, they were dissing soccer. They even showed a video where they call soccer a wuss sport. I mean, what the **** is that. I just wish someone recorded that and posted it on YouTube. Fel, where are you?

the twitter world went nuts when that happened last night and the cut the scene when they aired it again later in the evening.

What an embarrassment. With those clowns around the Impact is going to have as much trouble attracting French speaking players as the Habs do.

Wow guys...calm down. If you are referring to this scene I'm going to describe, it is absolutely nothing.

I came somewhat at the start of it but, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they wanted to do a joke on Bernier. And they showed an ad made in Europe or something about a soccer guy faking an injury.....the trainer runs towards him and starts....combing his hair. And then the ad finished somewhat like "want to watch a real sport, try Rugby". So it was an ad for Rugby and that dissed soccer. But it was not against Bernier or the Impact. Just to have a little fun with him. Unless I missed some other things, again, don't do like the journalists and don't blow things out of proportion...

It's still useless. Why not show hockey players diving?

It's still pathetic and supports a xenophobic mindset that too many people on this continent have. Would it really surprise you if a lot of people watching take it seriously and use that to make up their opinions on soccer? You see evidence of it here with that one guy calling all Europeans soft and claiming they play "ice soccer".

I remember a couple weeks ago an interview of Joey Saputo on Le match. The subject was Brian Ching and the fact that he did not want to report.

Dave Morissette said " 5 goals , 31 shots last year , and this guy thinks he has the right not to report ? " Everyone on the panel started laughing " 5 goals , 31 shots... this is so terrible..."

Then , Morissette stopped laughing and asked Saputo " well... are these stats any good ? "

On the positive side , I can't wait for the season to start !

IMO this was just the last straw for many who follow the impact and who are tired of seeing the Montreal media show no respect to the organisation.

As official broadcasters, TVA Sports should be encouraging the club and supporting the growth of soccer. Heck, it's in their best interesté More vierwes , more revenue. Yet, this was hockey people who have zero knowledge of any other sports.

What most people want is a dedicated show or staff for soccer coverage. Not idiots like Morisette and Ciccone

Yeah , I did not understand why they asked these guys to do the interview. Why not get an expert to ask relevant questions ? Not just " you know that british guy...yeah the good looking one... is he playing for Montreal ? " and Saputo said " No... he is in Los Angeles..."

Well it is still immature and the way it was presented.. Bernier didn't like it either. And he's right. Stupid.

So, it was this ad for the Czech Rugby Federation? I don't mind it. Rugby is an obscure sport in that country, so they have to do something unusual to get noticed. It's just underdog behaviour.

But what's the point of showing it to a soccer player?

In order to have a little fun. Cleary they missed. Personnally, I didn't think it was that bad and made to laugh at him. Prior to that they had all sorts of questions for him and rather interesting for guys who have no idea what soccer really is. Give them a freakin break, they mostly talk about hockey, and they also have some problems analysing it....

For me, it was in good fun. They have 2 hours to be filled and they happen to laugh at their own guys with clips of Ciccone fighting or else. So they used the same method. Frankly, there are TONS of things to say bad against that show from the girl who has no idea what she's talking about, to stupidities coming from Perron and others. But that interview seemed, at the time, in good fun for every party involved.

I saw the Impact-themed car at the car show today, looked pretty sweet. It's a shame it's a Kia though...

Camp started today. March 10th seems sooooo far away

Looking forward to seeing the young guys like Wenger and Zarek Valentin,

I also really hope Ilcu ultimately makes the cut
