BEGM: Who would you waive right now?

Figured since I jacked it up and didn't see the Gillies thread already on 2 pages (yes I'm an idiot) I'll make one with who do you think should be waived now?

If I were the GM?

I wouldn't have waived Gillies, first of all. I really don't see that he's been any worse than Staubitz. It is, however, a "meh" move to me. Pretty much neutral either which way i look at it.

Zanon. Hands down, Zanon.

I don't care if my owner has to pay the remainder of his salary for the rest of the season in the AHL, but I'd waive him right now.

Last trade deadline, he was the only one that publicly stated that he was looking to be traded.
It is relatively obvious that Fletcher has tried to trade him already, with zero takers.
Waiting until the trade deadline just makes us SELLERS at the deadline with Zanon in our line up.

Zanon has lost what little value the man once had.

Waive him. Walk away. Terminate his contract if he refuses to report to Houston. Get him the F off the ice...

So what's happened to Zanon this year? Last two years he was a fairly reliable stay-at-home D-man; nothing flashy for sure but he wasn't prone to making a lot of bad decisions and he had a flair for giving up the body to block shots. This year it's a completely different story; since coming back from IR in late Nov seems like his game has steadily declined. He's been nothing short of brutal in the 3 of the last 4 games. The fact that we've kept playing Zanon over Lundin sort of shoots a hole in the idea that our D is playing scared for fear of being scratched. If that were the case ... Zanon would not have been on the ice last night after his really shaky performance against the Sharks.

Russo has been reporting for some time now that he's being shopped. Who knew that our chances of getting something for him would have been improved if we had him in the press-box instead of on the ice. If we couldn't move him a few weeks ago we sure aren't going to be able to get anything for him now. Disappointing.

Wait up until the trade deadline, waive Zanon and/or trade his contract for another D-man's contract or use one of our picks/prospects to get a mid-20's good d-man with a contract of 2-3 years left on his current one.

Or use recall Prosser and give him Zanon's spot. Save on cap space if we got for a trade.

Zanon hands down, when he refuses to take any accountability its time to go, he is so bad and his play is bad.

unless it's been disproved somewhere, I think they were probably told not to make any comments about their individual performances.

But Zanon would be my pick too. I hate Zidlicky, but he's indispensable right now because of his skillset.

something something GM?

I'd sit Zanon down and if need be get rid of him. Dunno what his attitude is but he sure isn't playing right at all.

Read the title and then the post, it's not hard guys.

He's just asking, take Fletcher's place on who you would waive to get rid of dead weight.

We're playing NHL 12: GM Mode, HF Boards Edition.

IMHO Zidlicky seems like the doesn't get along with Yeo at all they just don't seem to gel, this team was playing much better with prosser and falk in the line up over Zanon and Zids,

i think we can squeeze a 2nd out of Zids at the deadline, he has played well under TR, so i think a change will get him to play better like it has for Kaberle, for ZAnon **** me up the ass i think with him we either make him ride the pine or trade him for someone elses overpaid expiring contract.

I read it as Be a GM but the ongoing discussion is pretty funny.
