White jerseys at home... feels like old times!

Bad: referee inconsistancy in penalty calls
Roy - not 100%,
McNabb - hurt?
Vanek's almost knee on knee penalty........ nice way to paint a target on your chest

Ugly: Home game with too many Toronto-ites in attendance

There's usually at least 30% Torontonians in the crown each home game against the Leafs.

You're saying first goal should go in. Difference is they scored three tonight. Sabres did not play great. I'll take the points but it was fluky. Miller let in 2 instead of 3 which is what we need him to do to win. It hardly makes him fantastic which is all I said.

I'll have to watch it again, but it didn't look dirty on first glance. McNabb went for the hit, Kadri braced himself well, McNabb got bounced awkwardly into the boards and had his head whip around a bit. It was definitely not worth gunning for a young player's head out of bloodlust for absorbing a check well.

Agreed. Never thought I'd say that, but boyes right now is not only redundant, he just flat out sucks a lot of the time.

Good:
-2 points. They need em.
-Myers and Mcnabb is my favorite pairing
-Pominville
-The 3rd line
-Hanging onto the 1 goal lead in the 3rd. Nerve racking, but hopefully the success builds confidence
-We may have been the only Sabres fans in 103, but the Leaf fans in our section were a fun group.

Bad:
-The missed calls on Webers trip, followed by a goal, and on Gragnani being hauled down were almost bizarre. How do you not call those?
-Gragnani's cross check was the stupidest penalty of the game. Why pinch in high only to cross check someone right in front of an official?

Ugly:
-McNabb injured could be bad news. Hopefully the Hoff is close.

Awesome and ugly at the same time:
-It's our anniversary and we considered selling the tickets all week to just do a night out. Even though I was way under face, the tickets didn't sell on craigs list or stubhub.
-At the last minute my wife wound up coming with the flu and had to stay home.
-I took my 7 year old boy instead. We had a blast chanting back and forth with Leaf fans.
-He ended up catching the puck that Mike Brown fired over the glass near the end of the 1st. He was very excited, but a bit freaked out when he saw that it bloodied the two people that it bounced off of first. He was relieved when they both returned within a period.

Even though the play developed quickly, I think that he should have moved the puck sooner. Maybe a simple play back to the corner.

It looks incidental, but he's clearly tripped on the play.

For a team that played terrible for the first 10-12 homes game this year 4-0-3 in the last 7 home games is a decent sign.

I agree with you. Guy was never an NHLer. How many camps did he not make team. One decent series against Philly and he was anointed by some as starter.
I don't care if he doesn't get enough games and qualifies as a UFA. He's pretty useless and losing him means nothing to me.
We have enough depth on D coming up that this guy has zero future with team, IMO.

Goose and Ellis with goals. ..If that didn't translate into a win, what would? Sometimes you gotta steal one. They don't do it often so I'll take it.

The Good -

- Winning
- The forwards had better jump last night, they were attacking. I don't know of anyone who didn't appear to be putting out an effort.
- Vanek's feed on Pom's GWG? Sick.
- Ellis and Gaustad showing the old adage is true -- put it at the net and good things can happen. Not fancy. Get it there... it may go in.
- McNabb-Myers

The Bad -

- Hey stripes, where is the hooking penalty when Gragnani got pulled down? Too much ProLine tonight or what?
- Weber. Get up, stop trying to sell the tug. It was a terribly unsafe decision to begin with. He's not good enough to be thinking about trying that play.

The Ugly -

- As has been mentioned, the injury to McNabb. Tough luck kid, you hit the boards oddly. Get well soon.

My reaction was "what the hell are you doing?" prior to him getting tangled up and falling. That was poor decision making. He needs to simplify and get back to hard off the wall and out if there is no open man to quickly pass the puck to. He's not someone who needs to be trying fancy anything out there.

Good: we got a much needed win.

UGLY: Too many Leaf fans at the game. I realize a lot of Season ticket holders sell some of their tickets to try get some of the money back they put out for their tickets. The best way is to sell to Leaf fans cause they will pay more for them. It is annoying for a home game to feel like a road game. Its pretty sad when Go Leafs Go is louder than Lets Go Buffalo. I think its terrible that Sabres fans can let so many Leaf fans invade the arena
