Alfredsson told me after game he may have to rethink that this is his last year playing as he is having so much fun this season

Can't the Chinese clone cows?

That or we just wait see if any of his sons carry the awesome genetics.

Turris aka satan has made me into a big fan. I'm starting to not care as much about the second round pick. He's going to score some goals in bunches. Back to back games where elite goalies can't handle his shot. Very impressive.

I ain't even mad.
Turris is looking like a player that a team could only aquire through the draft. Not everyone rips it up as a teen or even as a 20, 21, year old. It takes time and right now Turris is starting to show just what kind of player he very well may already be and that's a stud center.

Wish NHL would take after NBA and make it top 4 is for division, meaning a non division leader could finish 3rd, but then weakest division winner still gets home ice advantage. I think that's how the NBA does it anyway

Well as long as he feels mentally and physically that he can continue (which from this season he doesn't look that slow at all), then awesome.

Perhaps he'll do a Lidstrom and sign 1 years after until he feels he can't contribute to his fullest.

Cup ring to boot. agreed 100%.

honestly, if we could get both Prospal and Beauchemin for relatively cheap, Murray should be all over it imo. We owe it to Alfie.

You can basically trade every pick in this draft (other than the 1st) and a depth prospect like Grant, Gryba, or even a roster guy like Lee or Butler.

Peumpel is probably the best peice they have. With Stone in the organization along with Petersson and Da Costa, Peumpel may never get a sniff... he's a huge project that could totally bust as well.

i'd be on board with that. if somehow smyth can be had for a reasonable price i like him for leadership, experience and top 6 scoring over anyone avail. Beauchemin would be the top d man available.

getting a forward AND a dman though might be too costly (especially those 2, but i like to dream a bit)

I would bet my entire savings account that Auld gets the start next game against the Jets. There is no reason to start Anderson when they go into Toronto the very next night to start a 5/6 game road trip.

It's incredible how well we're performing so far under the cap.

Turris has been turrific since arriving, here's hoping he keeps it up!

BPD needs to convince his insider sources to invest in a fountain of youth or cloning device for Alfie.

I would guess Auld against the Jets on Monday and then Andy against the Leafs on Tuesday?

I LOLed at this. Leafs fans show no love for their players after a loss.

What about Tony Lydman? 1 year left at 3.0 after this season, 34 y/o.

About forwards, Huselius or Prospal would be decent and not too pricey, but I'd rather pay a bit more and get Ryan Smyth

Or What about Lubomir Visnovsky Let's go all in?

Others that could be interesting : Brett Clark, Pavel Kubina, Tuomo Ruutu, Tim Gleason

None of those players help us now, and potentially 3-5 years down the road...

I don't want to see drafts picks or prospects traded just to have a veteran forward rental for a couple months and potentially the playoffs only to see him walk as a UFA...

Team isn't in the position to do these moves. Hell, we are where we are today because of moves like that.

I hope they bring Lehner up, even though that won't happen. I would rather he get some experience then Auld sucking and us bring Andy in the game.
