If you're gonna get your first shot out 40+ games in, why the hell not shut out the top ranked team?

Ottawa just beat the best team in the league and the TSN NHL headline is, tiny, the overpaid center.

Hey guys, Leaf fan here - just wanted to say how impressed I am with your team's awesome run right now. You guys are for real and people around here need to start realizing that instead of saying **** like, "oh they'll collapse eventually" etc. etc.

Hope to see you in the playoffs!

Other than pump his team 3-0? Nope

Lost my post on here during the crash but fantastic games by Spezza, Anderson, EK, and wait for it all of you who were getting at me on the main board...TURRIS!

Best game I've seen from Turris since arriving in Ottawa.

Fantastic defensive game by that #65 guy.

Thanks!

I always laugh a little when I read comments like that. I don't think we are a cup contender, BUT I am impressed with our play. We've fought hard EVERY night. Its awesome to see!

The guy got like one shift in the 3rd period. It was hard to do anything to him once we put the game out of reach.

#65 had some great plays in his own end tonight.
Great composure on MM goal, great pass too.

Turris very strong. Biggest threat through 40 minutes.

Fun game to be at, but we did have a bad seed there... a lone Sens fan sitting behind me was pissing off everyone, trying to pick fights with Rangers fans and eventually got thrown out... if you watch the game again, after the Michalek goal you can hear the crowd chanting "*******" that was directed at him while security was escorting him out.

Oh man, why did I have to play 2 games last night? It would have been amazing to see Andy shut the Rags out. A large number of their fans have me thinking about Nucks fans last season.

Just from the highlights, it looked like Turris was all over the ice. Can anyone break his game down for me, please?

Karlsson is so terrible at defence that he actually headed up ice when Hagelin had the puck, and through a stroke of dumb luck ended up picking off the pass and turned that into Spezza's 2nd.

And Spez with impressive involvement in front of Andy before busting his butt and driving the net hard on MM's tally.

Very fast on the counter-attack, driving the net, taking shots, playing well with Alfie.

The Rangers GDT was actually one of the least cocky I've seen so far this season. They basically gave their team crap, and actually gave our team some credit. I enjoy fans who look at things logically instead of the slew of fans we've seen downplaying their opponent's solid play. *cough*Winnipeg*cough*

I don't exactly make a point not to venture in to opposing teams' GDTs- but it's pretty close.

Mostly it's the Rags fans I encounter on the main board...
