Does a fired coach get a Stanley Cup ring?

Just saying.
Darryl took over the PP during the home stand. Then he brought in Nicholls as a PP/offense consultant.

Kompon just gets the coffee now.

Well, for example, Tallon did not get a Stanley Cup ring for the Blackhawks in 09' HOWEVER, the team gave him one because he was the one who built the team they all thought.

But the league did not recognize it.

The team owner has the ultimate say in that. I recall the Samueli's having Stanley Cup rings made for pretty much every staff member of the Ducks Cup winning team.

They're plus 2 actually. I wouldn't really count shoot out goals.

Let's hope we can actually discuss that in June.

Is it coincidence that Kompon's influence over the PP has declined as it got better? In addition, I don't know if it's just my imagination, but i noticed that Sutter (not Kompon) that usually talks to the team during timeouts, before PPs, and before the last minutes of the game.

I'm encouraged - five four-plus-goal games out of twelve. Not quite half the time, but a damn sight better than before the change. I'm not yet ready to say they're where they need to be, but I can finally envision that they might get pretty close to it by the end of the regular season. I need to not watch more games, apparently

After the Kings beat Calgary tonight, the game puck went to coach Darryl Sutter, who got the better of his brother, Flames coach Brent Sutter, and also beat the team with which he served as coach and (later) general manager for eight years. At the final horn, Jarret Stoll got the puck and the team gave it to Sutter, and cheered him when he walked in the locker room
Drew doughty was interviewed post game on HNIC and said the guys talked before the game and really wanted to win this for Darryl. The game puck and cheering...that's great. Terrific that they feel that strongly for him and it's showing in their game

This was a good game, solid 2nd and 3rd and they really played well, esp defensivly in the 3rd.
Good to see Richards seems to be finding his game again , I thought he was really good in the 3rd defensivly on Inginla's line. That play he made backchecking up the ice where on his belly he has enough savvy to stick check Inginla offsides...WOW...
Hoping this carries over for another strong muliple goal win tomorrow.

Kings' forwards were excellent in the 3rd period tonight backchecking and taking away the middle of the ice. Every time the Flames did get a rush going it seemed like there was a forward there to pick off a pass in the middle.

Great all around effort by the entire team. Gotta love how Sutter is rolling 4 lines now. Every player is involved. I thought Voynov had a very strong game tonight. He's a keeper.

Slava had about three VERY strong D moves this game.

I thought that was suppose to be the weak part of his game ?

a bit OT but I'm a bit puzzled that Bob and Jim were perplexed about the other winning the poll question, when I saw the [poll my first thought was the Howe's I'm a bit surprised they weren't in the poll.
My first thought was the Gretzky brothers... most productive family in NHL history

That's awesome to hear. When a team buys in and fully commits, they'll succeed.

We keep this 'get any amount of points possible' streak going and we just may be poised to land a big name LWer in the offseason.

That's not accurate. The Gretzkys are the most productive pair of brothers, as in 2 individuals. If you add up the 6 Sutters' point totals they outscored the Gretzkys.

Just finished watching the game after getting home from my own game. Great day today, had a great game with my team today and the Kings matched us with an equally great game. Very pleased with the results. Boy Sutter has us playing well. Very thrilled with the team right now. Let's complete the double header with another win! GO KINGS!
